The college faculty is really very amazing. they are really passionate about their domain subjects.

Dislikes

Placements are very good but as recession is hurting every job there is the placements have fallen down a bit.
The campus life is quite bad compared to other indian institute of technology because the infrastructure is quite old and bad here and appears dull tbh.
Mess food is also stupid bad, its affordable, at only 15k per semester, but the quality is really bad.

A great peer group of Friends who are a way more smart than you learnt a lot from them. Diverse curriculum with not much headache of academic and a great peer group of coders and a great coding culture
The student community and the students run body different cells and clubs and a great alumni network and also a decent startup culture and buisness culture. Sometimes the alum itself offer you intern at their startup. A great infrastructure for sport
Since a great coding culture, this attract the company to our college. The TPC here is doing well to attract the company into our campus for placement. Our college placement better than the top 5 iits placement

Dislikes

When you first arrive the campus , you will disappoint after seeing the infra and the open. Campus. But BHU infra is itself a unique that diffrenciate it from different IITs.
The proff here in mechanical engineering is not friendly too much,
You will find a lot of students in a single batch about 1300 students

Placement Experience:

Since the placement season in IIT start from dec 1, of every year, where a large no. Of company participate in the placement of offer a wide range of package min 6 lpa to 2 cr. All major companies visited IIT BHU for campus placement Google Microsoft Amazon meta blackrock, apt portfolio, jpmc Goldman sach mackinsy and co, raam group, Flipkart, zomto, swiggy, tata, adani, reliance, jio, Airtel , apple , Qualcomm, texus instrumental, samsung, Accenture, bain, bcg , and a lot more than about 400 companies visited each year for placement. About 60 to 80% students are placed and if some are left unplaced then the company visit in april where most of them got placed. My plans after getting the degree is to solve my survival first and then opt for mba

All about IIT-BHU

Likes

The college is full of green trees , bushes.
the college faculty is really very amazing. They are really passionate about their domain subjects.
One another benefit is the placement. Being in IIT, I do not have to take tension about placements.

Dislikes

The college placements are not that much great as compared to other IITs.
It have to share its campus with BHU, which I dont like that much.
The infrastructure is not that much great. Buildings are very old.

Placement Experience:

I dont have knoledge about which semester students are eligible for placements. Many companies visited the campus like big MnC Google ,Amazon ,Infosys etc. My department domestic highest package last year was 39lpa and international was 96lpa. I will work for placements and will be selected for may be a big company.

Likes

The campus life and eco-friendly environment.
Only IIT where 2-wheelers is allowed. And no restriction on in-time.
Nice and supportive faculty members and big campus.

Dislikes

The weather is really hot in summers and it's very hard as there is no AC in hostels as well as in many of classrooms.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement happens in 4th year and internship starts from 2nd year itself. Pre-placement offers are also given. A lot companies come to IIT BHU and it is having a good placement stats. Highest package till now is about 1Cr+. And average vary from branch to branch.

Your Dream College in Holy City Varanasi

The very first thing about my college is that it has a wide alumni network that expands in different field
The Course Curriculum is also not that much hectic although it is hard

Dislikes

I will not say i actually dislike the things rather I would say the Campus Infrastructure can be improved like it not that much modern
The hostel consists of 3 persons in a Room which again can be improved by construction of new hostels

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Branch you are taking as your major mainly decides which course you are going to study during your B.tech but in IITs seeing the new developments and research we have the options of choosing the courses from other departments in form of open electives and yes here there is so much learning that comes from your college peers and learn much more from them. The development I see can be done in the areas where we are still getting taught the subjects that are not relevant in today's world and the teaching methods can be made more interactive by having a relaxed grading format and good competition among students. The exams are mainly held two times a semester like one as Midterms and other as Endterm and in between we get the Quizzes and Lab exams.

I liked the infrastructure the campus is very lively it's a very big campus and it's worth it.
Campus life is is very good the people are friendly anybody can have a proper social interaction
The faculty's expertise are very friendly they help us with everything we need

Dislikes

Mostly the placements have dropped rigorously I regret joining here

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students become eligible for campus employments. Many companies such as Google Amazon Flipkart etc hire from this college offering upto 1.68cr per annum. That was the highest package offered and the lowest package offered was 12.5 lakh per annum.80% of the students get placed. Imma get a job aftermy degree

The curriculum is vell balanced. It helps students to strengthen practical and theoritical knowledge and shape their career according to the industry needs. Exams are held two times a semster, mid semester exams and final exam. Difficulty is medium.

Likes

The campus itself gives a sheer vibe of sole peacefulness
and if you need more you can visit the ghats sit there and wnjoy the day there
it always works bananas is truley wholesome

Dislikes

there is nothing much to be disliked about this uni
only the humidity during those summers can really ponder you otherwise best place to study

Iit bhu and all iits are well known for providing great packages iit bhu with an average package of 35 lpa and computer science department with an average package of 32lpa provides numerous opportunities for the placements one can also apply off campus easily if he wants to

The alumni network of our college is best
Sports and extracurricular facilities are world class.
Placements is very good. Almost 300+ companies visit the campus every year

Dislikes

As our campus is open to all. It creates a big safety issue for us.
Hostels are really old. Although new hostels are in progress and they are good.
No airconditioner in classroom. No transport facility for students from hostel to Departments or Lecture hall.

Campus is huge and beautiful. Gives best vibe and having so many students can help you connect with others easily
Architecture and building are good.. Roads are also too good.. Security is also good
College life is too good as we have students from all over india and of all types

Dislikes

IIT and BHU have campus side by side which can affect some students in a certain way
Weather is too hot in summer and too cold during winters
Too many students makes the places crowded but its overall fun

Placement Experience:

Our college have very good NIRF ranking and we also do campus placement every year. Various MNCs visit our campus and hire students in bulk. Highest package will be around 1cr while average will be approximately 15 lakhs

What are the views of IIT-BHU students about Kashi Utkarsh?

My friend is an alumnus of IIT-BHU and he was a member of the Kashi Utkarsh too. He claims the organization is doing really well in eradicating the prevalent social constraints through the collective efforts of the group. The body convinces the financially weak families living in Varanasi slums to send their children to schools with the help of KU funding.

As easy as this may sound, the actual process is very tiring. The families are hell-bent against education and persuading them is a big task. The relentless efforts of the team members of KU and their compassion to serve the weak have brought massive changes in society.

However, some students of the institute don’t give KU the respect they deserve and are not ready to spend a single penny claiming that KU pockets the funds themselves.

If you visit the social media handles of the KU members, you will find a list of children who get into the formal education system along with their school fees being paid by KU. Dictionary the constant assistance from professors like Prof. Ashim Mukherjee with KU helps KU stay strong.

What are the changes that took place in the college after IT-BHU got converted into IIT BHU?

My friend was a student at IIT BHU and he witnessed a number of changes as the IT BHU got converted into IIT BHU.

The Vishwakarma hostel became a 3 storied building
Kashi yatra, the annual socio-cultural festival of IIT(BHU) Varanasi stayed open till 10.
The grading system first changed to absolute from relative and then finally back to relative grading.
Mid-semester tests were introduced in place of class tests.
One of the sandwich shops became a complete multi-storied restaurant.
The Chemical Engineering department was updated in many ways.
The students were no longer allotted single rooms.
The campus facilities were improved including the Internet connections.
The 90 % attendance rule was introduced.
The institute got 3 new directors.

These were some of the changes my friend witnessed after the IT BHU got transformed into IIT BHU.

My review of IIT BHU will be based on some very common parameters.

Infrastructure: The academic buildings are not air-conditioned and are equipped with obsolete instruments. The hostels are surrounded by natural beauty but the living conditions are pathetic with cramped rooms and dirty toilets. The poor LAN connections are a major major problem here.
Faculty: The faculty again is very disappointing. some even lack basic knowledge and some are too arrogant to guide the students. The answer sheets are checked in a disorganized way and the pedagogy adopted is old school. So here, you will have to completely depend on self-study.
Research: The majority of the faculty focuses on administrative tasks and fails to encourage students to research work. The institute has no globally recognized research work to date.
Facilities: The library has poorly organized books and lacks good study material. The LAN network is another major issue faced by students here. The departments are closed by 6 ok and the library is locked by 10 pm. This is a major hindrance during exams.
Campus life: The frequent student activities make the campus life of IIT BHU lively and dynamic. A number of activities are organized in IIT-Gymkhana by the students and Kashi Yatra is the annual cultural festival of the institute. There are amazing sports facilities like huge grounds and fields for Cricket, Football, Badminton, and Tennis.
Placements: IIT BHU has one of the best placements among the top IITs. Currently, IIT Bhu Placements 2023 is being held and around 474 offers and 305 PPOs have been made. IIT BHU's highest CTC was recorded at INR 1.2 CPA. A total of 117 recruiters took part in IIT BHU Placements 2023. Top recruiters included Airbnb India, Uber, Microsoft, Accenture, Piramal, etc. Last year the highest CTC stood at INR 2.05 CPA which was offered by UBER.

Overall, IIT BHU is a great choice if you are willing to sacrifice the hostel conditions and self-study.

Pharmaceutical Society and Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering & Technology, IIT (BHU) organize the Nation's largest pharmaceutical fest-SPIRIT.

SPIRIT is an annual fest of pharmaceutical engineering & Tech. branch of IIT(BHU). It is a national level event where pass out students can also participate. Pharma and medical enthusiasts from the country come together in this two-day fest to encapture new ideas and innovations to bring out the best of the participants. There are many competitions where you can compete to share and gain knowledge and ideas. Workshops and seminars are also organized. IIT(BHU) is the only IIT having a pharma branch, that's why it is the best college of pharma. The Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology, IIT (BHU) was established in 1932.
