Aap professors are very good and take know about the subject in detail and the love their subjects and teach us how to love the subject
Jadavpur university has a strong track record of campus placements, with many students securing promising job opportunities in leading companies across various industries.
The eligibility of the course for electronics and telecommunication engineering is you have to get a good marks and rank in wbjee exam, our department is second best after cse is the best department in our college

Dislikes

Quality of faculty is not very good as the salaries are low. the flawed fees structure causes the university to be dependent on government funds and lack autonomy.
The thing which i disliked is the level of difficulty in our syllabus..it's a bit tough.
The infrastructure of the class and labs are not good due to lack of funds and skilled personnel at all levels.

Jadavpur University : A nexus of excellence and cultural vibrancy

The thing that I like the most is the return on investment (ROI) which is Highest in India and my dept. is CSE which holds the best ROI among all branches.
Then comes the attendance policy, in JU we don't have strict 75% attendance policy . 45-50% is good to go.
The profs are very well experienced , most of them have a degree from foreign Universities and many published research papers.

Dislikes

The infrastructure isn't good , as it's a state govt. college the infrastructure is not as par with IITs or NITs.
The campus is very small (56acres the main campus) and there's not much of facilities inside the campus.also the campus isn't too clean.
The hostels ! 1st of all they offer hostels to limited students and there's a bit of ragging culture which is almost everywhere but now it has changed significantly as they have arranged hostel where only 1st year students will stay .

Placement Experience:

The placement is superb which I'm vry eager to discuss. Almost everyone of our college got placed even the lower branches did well in the placements ... branches securing even 100% placements... For CSE the %age is 97 ... rest went for higher studies. In CSE the average package is somewhat between 18-22lpa. This year Google have made offers of 57lpa to a few students, Samsung offered 44lpa,Wells Fargo 27Lpa... these ctc are well known .... but many companies visit here which include tech,consultancy,banks ...

Glory of jadavpur

Likes

Fee is very affordable with the subject I took
Staf are very gentle and they are genuine too
Teaching is awesome they clear our concept in avery details

Dislikes

Teaching time duration is very high class start from 10 am to 6pm
Hostel condition is not so good that's the reason I rent PG
Improper meal due to teaching duration by the practical

I took biotechnology because it is going to be a demanding course in market and very few students are interested, I will have less competition as compared to engineering or doctor in persuing any government/private job

My Views on JU

Likes

The campus is vast and beautiful, with the majority of it covered in greenery. There are numerous clubs and societies, as well as a large field that offers a variety of sports facilities. The education in this university is very much affordable.
There are many experienced and renowned professors in almost every department, making it a valuable learning opportunity for us. Regular classes are conducted, and the laboratories are well-equipped with air conditioning and all modern facilities.
Unity among students from all departments and faculties is a proud tradition of this university. The campus is friendly, and all the staff members are very polite. The gender ratio is approximately 40% female to 60% male.

Dislikes

There is a shortage of funding, and the state government should allocate more funds to this esteemed institute.
Students can sometimes get distracted by the daily political campaigning on campus. While it's not necessarily a bad thing, it can be disruptive for some individuals.
The administration department is quite slow and could benefit from improvement.

Placement Experience:

One of the main reason to choose this University was it's placement record. It's Engeneering Departments has almost above 90% placement rates with highest package of above 1cr and average package of 10-15 lakh. Higest package are mostly from CSE, Electrical and Chemical Engineering department. Reputed multinational company like Google and Amazon visit here for placement. Students are eligible for the placement from their final semester. Although it has good placement cell but I will go for reasearch in future.

Likes

Minimum fees no compromise with academics.Good guidance with a Clear vision of career
The environment of the campus is exquisite and peaceful

The is updated,set according to need of current job offers in biotechnology field. The current programming language taught here are updated with well trained mentor. They are also currently working on plant biotechnology lab set up .

Arranged a reunion program of department.
Organizing annual sports in the campus all over the campus students.
Supporting each other to student and helping for success.

Dislikes

Lot of students in campus so managing is hard.
Big campus need to discover every thing in campus.
No of gate is more than you expected and countable.

For engineering students my university role a better position for placement. There are many MNC company hired students from this university. Students get chance for placement.some of department cannot be fully placed because of lack of communication with company and for low opportunity.but overall the university provide a better placement for students.

GOING TO BE A GEOLOGIST

The punctuality of the professors as well as our respected hod sir
The helpful behaviour of all the professors including senior's
Many research scholars do help us in our needs and also have different co-cirricular activities to take part

Dislikes

It gets water lodged Sometimes ac doesn't work
All are good including senior's and office staffs
only one washroom is there in the ground floor which will become 2 washroom after the holidays

Course Curriculum Overview:

Its very worth it and help ful . I was impressed from one of my cousins who is a geologist who.mainly.inspired me for taking this course and helped me in further detailing and gathering information on this course

The college is very good and so beautiful
The college is very big and has a big play ground
The respective teachers are so good . They well teaches us

Dislikes

The play ground is short . Some labs are so bad
The class room are not so beautiful. Are very bad
There is no dedicated auditorium . And number of laboratory is very poor

There are a lot of things to love, it's very affordable
It offers a great experience and gives a better placement to most of students
All the professors and seniors are very cooperative, all time it's like a festival within the campus

Dislikes

Like every engeneering college girl ratio is very poor, in my department out of 50 students only 6 are girls
In case of education it is best, so sometimes students get in pressure for syllabus
Hostels are not such great but I think it depends on student not on college

Placement Experience:

Some department get 100 percent placement, and all other department aslo 98 or 97 percent placement. After 3rd year students can give the placement interview. As construction is lower department of the college it's highest package is about 12LPA and on an average 9LPA.

JU and it's life

Return on Investment here is very excellent.
Faculty is awesome and senior-junior relationship is very healthy. Campus life is awesome.
There are many opportunities to explore for students and placements are nearly over 90% in my University.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is a little out-dated with respect to other private colleges.
Male to female ratio is about 10:2, which I consider to be very poor.
The course curriculum for Engineering students is B.E. , which is outdated with respect to B.Tech degree in other Engineering Colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was very much interested in Engineering and kept it as much only option going into college-life. So, when I got Electrical at Jadavpur University, there was no second-thinking. The curriculum is very fantastic and prepares students well for their real life applications. The frequency and timings of exam are also made flexible here, according to students wishes, which is very unique here.

Overall our college is ok . I so much like our faculty.
we like our faculty teachings experience and their technique to solve the problem.
we like our college discipline and our culture of APC ray and the yearly cultural program

Dislikes

Here are the big problem of the maintanence of the machine and instruments
their are no facilities of hostel so the students are faced big problem
their are the big problem of the old destroyed class room and raain are introduced with this

Placement Experience:

In our college campus placement is overall 100% so we are not thinking about the other job opportunity without campusing. Although the campusing are poor so we are start the preparation of government job and also offer campusing
