Presidency University is one of the oldest universities in the country. The university boasts of its various famous alumni like Subhas Chandra Bose, Amartya Sen, and the recent Nobel Prize Winner Abhijit Banerjee, etc. The university has a highly integrated course on the subject I wanted to pursue. The University consisted of highly educated experts in their academic sphere who are known for preparing their students according to the changing global workforce. These Educators in the University are known for strengthening the ability of the students to resist being misled and becoming better at critical thinking.The admission process is through an entrance exam and is conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board. The Application for the examination is to be done online and is available at www.wbjeeb.nic.in. The mode of the examination is through a Common Entrance Examination in offline mode (OMR-based examination).

Good : Admission process is quite easy consisting of 1 exam PUMDET, followed by declaration of results on the website, 1 day verification of documents happen. Nice professors, good lab facility, class conditions very good, all equipped with AC and projector, syllabus made in accordance with NET syllabus, course helps to learn new techniques that will be useful in upcoming years(for PhD)Bad : Presidency keeps a quota for old B. Sc students and also takes new students through examination, this creates a divide as ex-students consider themselves to be superior, that creates tension amongst students and sometimes dirty politics as well.

As I wanted to do petroleum engineering, so luckily this college offere btech in petroleum engineering. so I was not interested in doing any of the other courses.so I choose this college and also it offers good placement opportunities.

This university has a heritage of its own, also the beautiful campus and the departments, the qualified and nice teachers also made me choose this university. Furthermore, the subject statistics has a huge base for future research studies and works. So I opted for this.

It's ways of imparting education,the upgraded faculty, convenient library facilities.The teaching facilities are much cooperative.There are scopes for further exposure in which the professors helped us a lot.They even guided us for our future prospects.

Presidency was my dream college as a child. I was inspired by the faculty and deeply interested in the syllabus. If you have an interest in post-colonial theories and global literature, this is it. There are four semesters and a wide variety of topics, taught by excellent faculty.

Many companies have visited the campus for placements, and some of the students got placed, the infrastructure of the college is absolutely very good in terms of maintenance and it is one of the best, the labs and classrooms are also good, and the professors are too helpful, my suggested me for this university and now I can say this is one of the best Institute in India.

Campus infrastructure, placement guidance given by the university is really helpful for the students to get placed in good MNC and Internship which is mandatory for 2nd year students benefits a lot for corporate jobs
