University of Burdwan Bardhaman Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I chose to go for programming but I wanted to do Hons. As my marks were not that good and I was getting a good college so I did not want to waste this opportunity. The teaching staff is excellent here. I have till now taken only the online classes but I can say this with pretty much confidence that I have got the best teachers. Exams at the college are held semester-wise each semester for six months. I from my experience can say that exams were from moderate to tough level and were quite difficult to pass. And one thing about colleges in Bengal is that they fail their students unlike Jharkhand and all.

For undergraduate students, they offer cources that are approved by AICTE. I was an information technology student and my faculty member are helping me alot they give us many project and they helps us to do them which helps me my interview.and at the time of the exam, the ques was asked only from the notes which were tought by the techer in class.

I choose information technology because the faculty is excellent they are always ready to solve the student's problem. The placement of the IT department is better than another department. Every faculty are highly qualified and the exam happened 3 times/semester. 1) 1st Internal after first 2 months of the sem. 2) 2nd internal after 1months of 1st sem. 3) Final sem at the end of that sem. The question is decent good in internal but the sem question is quite tough/

The college gives a Very good placement to the students. The highest salary package is 1600000 per annum. The college supports the students from the 2nd year of the course to be ready For the interview thus they can crack the interviews very easily.

I had scored really good marks and developed special interest in learning and teaching accounting subject so i chose to go for doing hons in it. Faculty at the college is quiet strict and wants you to attend the college regularly which is a good thing but only if you want to rely on them and not on tutions which nobody does so most of the students upset them. Exams are taken semester wise and each semester of six months. The level of the exams is good for even for average studnent to gain good marks. Only if you pay attention to the faculty lectures also the faculties of the college provides tution to the students so you also get additional help from there if you take tutions from them. Not that they give you question paper but it just becomes easier for you to study the subject from the same teacher in different place and situation.

From the 3rd year itself, you will be able to seat for placement exams. And for your information, placement conditions were very very bad way back years, but year by year it is improving like now people are getting placed not with high package but they get placement off campusing only. Like you will have to go Kolkata or Durgapur for giving exams, that also decreases the percentage of selection. Nearly 15-20 colleges visit or college sends us to give exams, and they offer an average package of 3.5 LPA. For CSE, nearly 75% of students will get placed and obviously, UITians are laborious they manage to place by anyhow. Like by their efforts only. For other departments, placement is tough as core company they rarely refer or have tie up with college. After completing my degree I want to work for a big company like Amazon and after that want to work for my startup.

Starting 4th year.Tcs, hpcl, Wipro, Capgemini, pinnacle, infotech, etc there is highest package is 15 lac.my plan is getting the degree after I am preparing for job and get m.tech college study from any iit or nit.

My plan after completing my degree with Bsc Microbiology Hons I want to continue my studies and get admission in Msc microbiology . And after completing my master's I would like to go on research work .

Students are not eligible for campus placements till the 6th semester, from the 7th semester to the 8th Semester students become eligible for campus placements. Most of the reputed companies like TCS, cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, IBM are hired employees from our college also. These all are based on the IT sector, some non-technical companies are also hired from here which are based on sales and marketing regarding the position. I also got 3 to 4 jobs that are non-technical related like sales and marketing positions. In 2021, the highest salary package from our college was approximately nearer to 15 LPA from computer science trade and the job profile was based on software development trainee, and average salary package was 5-6 LPA from various types of company, in most of the cases job profile was software related. Percentage of students getting placements-85-90%. As I already got jobs which are based on sales and marketing position but right now I want to do higher study.

Civil Engg is like to be emerging field, After getting into this department I was not then sure about all the things but now I know all the relevance of it. The maximum number of faculty members are completed & pursuing P.hd, all faculty members are very helpful. Teaching quality is also very good. Lab assistants are good. The college is Burdwan University, AICTE affiliated, so we have to give 2 unit tests before the sem exam after that semester will there.
