The teachers the realy good . education quality is so good
This college is very much old , it established in 2004 , here many cultural programs like freshers, fest , rabindra jayanti and some medical programs occurs which help you to relax also become knowledgeable.
Location of my hostel is quite good avery thing is near

Dislikes

No annual or tech fest are organised.. so we get bored
Very monotonous also old concept ... no students association are there don't have any rights to say anything
Tuition costs: the high cost of tuition and student loans can be a significant source of stress and financial burden.

National Institute of Homoeopathy review in brief

Likes

The infrastructure of National Institute of Homoeopathy is the best among all the Homoeopathic institute in India
The patient flow at NIH is about 3000 patient per day which is the maximum among all Homoeopathic college in India

Dislikes

The number of faculties present in NIH, kolkata is a bit less
Exam in every 3 months interval , students get less time for study
Many classes are taken by the PGTs and not by the profesors

Course Curriculum Overview:

I believe this BHMS course is absolutely one of the best course from today's point of view and for future as patient are turning towards Homoeopathy from allopathy as it have a lot of side effects . Homoeopaths have a great future ahead

Great college for your course

Likes

I really liked the enthusiasm of the faculties. There's always prompt revision internals for every unit of portion being completed
The campus provides a good space for roaming while the evening time
The cultural activities and events are taken with utmost importance and curation which provides the students with best recreation

Dislikes

The strict campus and hostel timings makes it a little monotonous for the students
The food can be a bit off considering the huge amount being paid for the hostel
There's always strict rules to be followed for going out of the compus

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course completion and examinations come hand in hand. There's always prior gap before the examinations as the course is well completed almost 3 months back which gives the students a better learning and revision experience

Life of an MBBS student at ESIC Joka

Likes

The college is run by the central government with excellent infrastructure of labs and more than 500 bedded hospital and opportunities
There are single accomodation hostels provided to all the students at a minimal cost of 4.2k per year

Dislikes

The library timings is only from 9am upto 7pm
The playground is not big enough and lacks proper maintenance
Canteen and mess facilities are not upto the mark

Placement Experience:

MBBS is a very high demand course. No issues of employment after passing the course and getting the degree. One can opt to work as a RMO in different hospitals or can prepare for post graduate entrance examination. Though ESI provides employment for 1 year to its students on a contractual basis

Likes

I like the campus area and its building its so beautiful
The faculties and staff are also good they are so supportive
The relationship between us and our patients is the thing i like the most

Dislikes

There is no plan for placement for the students in our college
There is no improvement regarding to the hostel and hospital
They don't do the things in propper manner

Some people think that it is a easy course and bad according to modern day ,we need to aware people about this course specially in rural areas where people don't know the value of this. its an amazing course

The hospital building is guarded 24×7 with enough number of guards most of whom are ex-army .
The faculties are all well qualified and experienced to teach us and answer all our doubts .

Placement Experience:

Students have to do a compulsory bond service for 1 year in any part of the country in a centrally controlled ESI after they graduate. They can extend that bond period once 1 year is over. During this service they get an avg of 1lakh per month salary and if they decide to leave the bond service they have to pay 5 lakhs as penalty.

A peek at NRS

Likes

The college is one of the most prestigious and reputed colleges of the country with a patient footfall of 6000 per day. Its a government college 150y old.
Great faculty, classes are held regularly, hostels are nice and clean, room is spacious. We've a huge field for students and auditorium. Co-curriculars are held throughout the year.
Campus is big with good security. Our fest- ECSTASY is full of grandeur. Artists like farhan Akhtar, Vishal Shekhar, Sonu Nigam, Anupam roy and many more have performed. The library is open from 9am-8pm. Library and lecture theatres air conditioned

Dislikes

Being in central kolkata, Sealdah area is crowded
Campus could be better cleaned. Patient party sleeps in the campus areas at night, thus campus isnt cleaned as much
As strength of each batch is 250, it becomes difficult for the professor to pay attention to every student

Course curriculum is decided by the university, and college follows it in their own ways. The curriculum has 4 years of studying and practival learning with one year of paid internship. During the four years, all aspects of medical science is taught and post internship, one emerges as a well qualified doctor. Exams are held frequently and are of moderate difficulty level

Central government college, Good infrastructure and faculty, located in city (Kolkata), helpful professors and seniors, Students from all across the country are present
Sure shot placement of all students after MBBS as JRs with a very high salary (1.1 lakh per month)
No political influence , top class hostel, single rooms for everyone from 2nd year

Dislikes

Fess is slightly Higher compared to other state colleges (1 lakh/year for AIQ and SQ students)and 30k/year for ip students
Patient load is lesser compared to some other state colleges
No playground, compulsory bond after MBBS (1 year) so if you want to do PG after MBBS you have to give bank guarantee.If you want you can extend the bond as well

Placement Experience:

After you pass your 9th semester and final proffs you can start your internship where you'll be paid a stipend around 30k/month. After one year of compulsory internship you will be posted as a JR where you will be getting 1 lakh/month. Placement is 100% as everyone is required to serve the bond

My college is a government medical college with beautiful infrastructure and a peaceful surrounding.College provides courses like Mbbs at a very minimal cost .There are good professors to guide you throughout your medical journey which is quite tough
My college also assures a paid internship in a district hospital named maharaja jitendra narayan medical college.my college have excellent hostel facility with spacious room which can accommodate all the students .It also provides a nice playground
My college also have hostel facility in a very minimal cost of rupee 12 per month .The whole mbbs couse is also very minimally priced at 50k for the whole course

Dislikes

The competitive environment and the unfriendly toxic people
There is no proper mess facility for the students and the canteen also doesn't provide very good food
The hospital is far from the academic campus hence travelling is hectic

I choose mbbs because I've always dreamt of becoming a doctor and serve the country and its people.our curriculum is completely practical and it includes going to wards for patient interaction .We as medical student have to give a lot of exams and vivas which becomes quite stressful
