Course Curriculum Overview:
MBBS as a course is definitely vast. There's a lot to study and it might seem there's no end. But with the help of teachers and your fellow peers one can definitely get the grasp of the course. Not everything given in the book is to be Mugged up. It's important to develop a practical sense of what you see in wards, OPDs. Competency based approach as laid down by NMC can be a bit tricky to get hang of but most students here ultimately opt to study from Sources like MARROW, PREPLADDER.
Semesters are taken every 4-5 months and the WBUHS University exam happens at the end of the academic year. Semesters serves as internal exams which you have to pass on order to appear for University exams. University exams are the real deal where your scores reflected on a Report as your professional year. The exams are definitely difficult and we had to spend many sleepless, stressful nights to cover the vast syllabus.
