The teachers the realy good . education quality is so good
This college is very much old , it established in 2004 , here many cultural programs like freshers, fest , rabindra jayanti and some medical programs occurs which help you to relax also become knowledgeable.
Location of my hostel is quite good avery thing is near

Dislikes

No annual or tech fest are organised.. so we get bored
Very monotonous also old concept ... no students association are there don't have any rights to say anything
Tuition costs: the high cost of tuition and student loans can be a significant source of stress and financial burden.

Life as a med student in jgmch

Likes

I really liked the faculty , the new lecture theatre, and facilities such as cadaver for dissection, labs , the principal is also very understanding and supportive here, since it is located near the forest we feel very much at peace and view is good
Social interaction with batchmates and seniors are good
The infrastructure is amazing , it looks very majestic

Dislikes

Since the campus is under construction, there are lots of workers around everytime
Lift haven't started yet even though it is built completely, we have to use stairs which is tiring
Nooce of tractors and jcb sometimes make it difficult for you to study and focus

I chose this course as i alwys wanted to become a doctor and bring better in the world. You need passion and patience to do mbbs , it is much more difficult than NEET you have study most of the time but its not true that you cant enjoy your life its totally upto you Teaching methods can be improved if there were more practical and visualization than theory This coures train you to handle pressure and stress which dictors have to go through

FACILITIES LIKE LIBRARY, HOSTEL, CANTEEN.
Plenty of patient variety for better clinical exposure

Dislikes

Distant from kolkata, hence missed out a few opportunities.
Work load during internship is too much, no time to sleep propelry during the heavy subjects.

Placement Experience:

You can start practicing as an independent doctor only after completing internship, and getting registered to a council. During internship you get paid >31k/m The college provides housestaffship to students according to their ranks in academics, @monthly pay of 50k/m After the degree one can go for private practice, or for government MO jobs, or prepare for NEET PG for further studies.

Faculties are very good and helpful in college
Senior and junior interaction is very good and helpful
Hospital is very good to review all cases

Dislikes

Canteen is very dirty and unhygienic....
Hostel is very small and unable to accommodate all students
Environment around the campus is very unhygienic

Midnapore Medical College at a glance

Likes

One of old college and high patient load , good infrastructure
Social interaction is amazing, the town area of the district so social interaction is good
Faculty in all colleges are same , professors are transferred after a time intervals

Dislikes

Class management, no Mike , projector operators

Placement Experience:

In 5.5 years after 4.5 years there is a one year mandatory internship and you will get some stipend money, and after completion you stay as a house staff of the college, so don't get tension about placement

All faculties are doctors which makes faculties upto the mark for the job
Each students can feel independence like never before
Male female ratio is around 1 .Seniors are friendly and helpful.

You learn to become doctors in this college which has a lot of real life applications Becoming a doctor will open lots of doors and after this college you can clear pg exams and can become specialists .

All about DHGMC&H

Likes

Cleanliness around campus ( state of art facilities ) and good hostel facilities
Lab equipments are up to date , and lab classes held regularly
Clean canteen , helpful and friendly faculties

Dislikes

Academic building washrooms need to be cleaned
No separate nursing college , classes held in the same building as Med students

Course Curriculum Overview:

Mbbs course teaches you the way of life . It makes you a conscious and compassionate human being . Being a doctor is a noble profession and the idea of easing the suffering of patients with my knowledge always appealed to me . University exams are held once a year . College has 3 sems for first year , supples are held within 3 weeks of the semesters . Overall , very strict and disciplined regarding studies .

School of Tropical Medicine in a nutshell

Likes

It's prime location in kolkata.Train, metro ,bus route is available very easily
Large centralized lab where the opportunity to observe & hands on experience is quite good.
As it is a medical college campus so doctors are available easily

Dislikes

The campus is having no proper playground.
Sometimes due to patient overload the cleaniness is not maintained
The campus is not that large in size. sometimes it is too much crowded

Course Curriculum Overview:

BSc. in medical lab technology is a very demanding course nowadays . It's mostly a practical based degree which gives you the vast knowledge about different types of disease & their diagnosis. The patient interaction , sample taking , making slides , performing different tests to know the actual disease are different aspect of the course.The 6 months paid internship also gives good work experience which is very important.

BMLT in School of Tropical Medicine

Education quality is good, good therory and practical knowledge are given.
There are so many specialised departments and labs are here... nowhere in west bengal are as many as seperate departments as in Tropical. You can learn a lot from those.
You will get very good experience while interacting with patients and doing your work in labs.

Dislikes

campus is too small, no play area and all
not so much activities beseide education, no such fests and festivals
no hostel facility, canteen is very small

Course Curriculum Overview:

1.the course is actually more practical based rather than theory. It's actually not that difficult. 2. But the future of the course is not as bright as it should be. So I'll highly recommend everyone not to come in this course at all. 3.There are msc course and phd after completing this but not so many good institutes are there to pursue it. 4. the course is completely based on medical field. so helping people in need is inspirational.

Infrastructure almost complete with required facilities
Management is very good as it is new college

It is a peripheral college 60 km from Kolkata
Tough for non Bengali students initially

B.sc. perfusion technology in IPGME&R and SSKM Hospital- an honest review

Large patient in flow resulting in great exposure helping in gaining personal experience.
IPGME&R is one of the best medical colleges in West Bengal as well as in India. Gopd infrastructure amd facilities
Good boys to girls ratio. In my batch there is 10 students 5 of them are girls and 5 are boys.

Dislikes

You need to do duty in this course and sometimes duty schedule may become hectic and stressful.
Lack of holidays which is common in medical fields.

Our course is mainly based on the Heart and that's what influenced mey decision to choose this course. And the course really prepares us well for real life applications. Frequency of exam is once a year.
