Our annual techno-cultural fest meraz is best of all however it is yet to bring huge celebrities.
The hostel facilities are very good as the rooms are very well maintained with proper ventilation and acs.
The course curriculum here is comprehensive and forward-thinking, strongly emphasising interdisciplinary learning.

Dislikes

The seniors over action and they over react for every stuff without listening to others and name us bad infornt of everyone
Lack of sports culture in the campus due to studious students
Not alot but there's a bit of politics over here where the heads try to incubate their own people

All about IIT Bhilai

IIT Bhilai stands out for its forward thinking curriculum which is designed to foster innovation and interdisciplinary learning. The emphasis on project based learning and research from the early semesters is particularly commendable.
The campus life at IIT Bhilai is vibrant and engaging , the students here are known to everyone the bond between phd and tech students is precious.with numerous clubs and societies catering to a wide range of interests from robotics to music.
The placement cell at IIT Bhilai is proactive and dedicated , providing robust support for career advancement.The relatively smaller student student popoulation fosters a close knit community where students easily from strong bonds

Dislikes

The institute couldnt attract top companies for campus placements which offers both core technical fields and diverse sectors
Can improve its campus infrastructure with more greenery
The course curriculum should be aligned to current industry trends and technological advancements

Placement Experience:

At IIT Bhilai students are eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester however one can earn PPO through internships. Many growing startups offer placements here. The highest package goes up to 42LPA with an average of up to 17LPA after my degree I plan to pursue a career in SDE or SWE roles and then continue my studies for research in PhD with the experience gained here

Let me tell you a little bit

Likes

The fest MERAZ....which I would waiting all year.
Food add ons. I might say...we do have max all types of chicken recipes.
The Library...which looks cool and calm.

Dislikes

Basic food... without salt and masala...eating rotis everyday is kind of boring.
Visiting places...there were a very few here...we need to go long for some.
The city is dusty everywhere🫠my native place is better .

Placement Experience:

We have a record of 100% placement from our branch CSE with an average package of 27.43LPA. Students start doing internships from 3rd year mostly with placements at the end of 4th year. Different companies like Amazon, Accenture,Google, Tata, Microsoft, etc., visit here. The Highest package this year is 48 LPA .

Likes

Campus and College life is good at IIT Bhilai
Mess food is okay to eat except some days.
Faculties are good and knowledgable also helpful.

Dislikes

Campus is still getting build so that causes some problems

Placement Experience:

Placements are 90% okay . After sem 7 students are eligible for placements before that all semesters should be completed without any F grade in compulsory courses. About 95% students got placed previous year.

Reality in iit bhilai

Likes

The freedom is given by college that u can stay in hostel if u don't want to go to class.
you can get a serious preparation for your sport and u can represent as iit Bhilai student.
The ac and class room infrastructure is so good u can have a beatiful views in campus.

Dislikes

After night 11 we can't go outside and we can't get food within campus but they will allow swiggy and zomato upto their app services allowed.
Some sport courts are going on under construction.
But in gymand mess we don't ac and in remaining all places we can have ac.

Placement Experience:

Actually Completing 4 th year itself you get at least 2 or 3 companies for Your job secure and in 3 third year you can do many internships for placements you should be eligible by having credits greater than 144 and can get 18 to 22 credits for each semester otherwise our campus have highest for placements and higher education in our campus and our last year highest package is 48 lakh it was given by Accenture.

Infrastructure are newly built and is top notch
Packages are decent enough as a 3rd gen iit , hope it gets increased

Dislikes

It is located in a rural type area and we did not have basic amenities like gym in like 5km
Weather is a bit hot and the sun can be scorching sometimes
It did not have any playing grounds yet and not even Indor games

Forth-year students are assisted for placements as we have a seperate placement club for them, many big companies like Amazon, cognizant, L&t, Bosch, Deloitte, etc. visited for campus placement, but this year hope more MNCs as we are now in our permanent campus, average package is ~15lpa and highest is 48 lpa, almost 84% students get placed.

Campus Life at iit bhilai

Scenery, infrastructure, hostel rooms, faculty.

Dislikes

Location is very far from city which cause a lot of problems.
Construction work is going on which cause lot of problem.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. There are too many companies that visited college for placement companies like Samsung, L&T, Amazon, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, etc. The highest package is 48 lakhs, average package is 14 lakhs. The percentage of placement in 2022 is 90%. My plan is to complete my btech first then look for a job.

Life at IIT Bhilai

Likes

The hostel Life is at another level here. Playing sports at night has now become a habit of every person here.
The clubs here provide a great opportunity to students to improve their personality.
The faculty here are awesome as they are very knowledgeable, passionate in teaching, kind and helpful.

Dislikes

The food quality sometimes degrade which is a little bit concerning.
The internet speed is not very much fast as the college is situated in outskirts of city.
Some fast food stalls seem to charge higher.

Placement Experience:

Placements are also very good as MNCs and other big companies come here for recruitment. Companies like Jio, Infosys, Paytm, TCS, etc. have visited and made more than 100 offers. The average package is approximately 14.15 lakhs with a more than 90% placement rate. The highest package offered was 48.64 lakhs. I am planning to join IT companies after completing my degree. I would also consider going for higher studies because I think I want to explore more.

I liked the rooms, the facilities, the classrooms, the professors, the gym, the infrastructure

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 3rd year late semester or the 4th year. Placements are also offered during internships at the companies that come here. Most of the students got placements last year.

I liked the environment that all the students are well studious and cooperrative
The college campus is also coming to be best in 1 year

The campus is now in construction so ground not much for playing
We are also in Village as campus is big so

There are many companies that come to our campus some famous companies are Microsoft Amazon and many more like Facebook. The highest package was around 42 lpa and the avg is 14 lpa. Almost 85 per cent of students get placed. My motive is also to get a top job at this college

All the memories i made in the college and my frienda
Here are less students so we get more pors
Low batch strength so teachers give more attention

Dislikes

Transient campus is quite bad we dont have a permanent campus yet
Here is very hot eather making it hard for students to study
The management of college is quite poor.

Placement Experience:

The students of our college become eligible for placements after the 7th or during the 7th semester. Here are several companies like Google amazon and Microsoft. Google has a decent package for students. The highest was 43 lpa on campus and 64 lpa off campus.

Life at IIT Bhilai is great.

The labs are open 24*7 for access, and the annual techno-cultural fest of IIT Bhilai ‘Meraz’ is the biggest in Chhattisgarh. It takes place after 1st tierce exams, which are held in September. The hostels have recreational rooms with TV, TT tables and Carrom Boards. Badminton courts are also available for hostellers. There are plenty of clubs at IIT Bhilai, like the Electronics Club (Electromos), the Dance Club, the Music Club, etc. You can apply for any of these.

Apart from the fest, Inter IIT competitions and Diwali celebrations take place during odd semesters. The highlight of even semesters is Prayatna, the Inter-College Sports League. It lasts for 2 months, and is a lot of fun. You can either participate in the league or cheer for your friends. The college also hosts Smart India Hackathon and Cult Night in which the Music, Dance and Dramatics Clubs showcase their talent. Then, there are Holi Celebrations.

No college is boring, be it IIT Dharwad or IIT Bhilai. Each place has its own clubs and societies. It totally depends on you whether you spend your time sitting in the hostel room, or participate in various college activities.
