Campus was nice, football turf is nice, mumsoc president is pretty cute, and there's golf carts.
Placements is really really very good they provide many opportunities and many small as well as big companies come here for campus recruitment.
Faculty members are good they will encourage us in every aspect and motivate us they will give valuable information to be a differintiator

Dislikes

The clubs are useless, and no fests were organised when i was studying in the university.
Hostel fees is to high and food is not that good
The exam system is quite disappointing because there is no prior information about the exams.

Choosing PharmD: Is it right for you?

One of the best things about our college is it involves in social events and other extracurricular activities. All the students from different branches come together and organize events and will be a part of it. There are so many clubs & its good.
The faculty members do a great job, they are very knowledgeable and have so many years of experience in this field. All are very supportive. The classes are always engaging, the notes provided by them are of great use and easy to understand.
The campus infrastructure is awesome. The classes, libraries, study spaces, laboratories are all good enough. The sports facilities is also very good and can be made use very well if you stay in the hostel. People from every sate of India are here.

Dislikes

The college is too far from the city. Though it has all the essentials, it might be a problem for the day scholars as they have to travel for too long. Transportation facilities are there and can be used but the transportation fee is too much.
The college offered some scholarships, it still felt like the cost was not justified by the resources provided. The financial aid process is complicated and sometimes feels like a barrier for students who needed additional support.
While there are plenty of clubs and events, the overall social scene could feel cliquish at times. it is hard to break into certain groups, especially if you didn't fit the physical mold. The clubs are sometimes very active and sometimes not active

Placement Experience:

The placements in the college is Good.The total number of offers are around 70, which is provided by so many different companies. Few companies and the number of offers are: Iqvia(14) molecular connections(10) vee technoligies(7) augmedix(6) OG healthcare(6) Omega healthcare(6) Carelon global solutions India LLP(4) Labcrop(3) Mylan(3) Al shifa college of pharmacy(1) Byjus(1) Indegene(1) Manipal hospitals(1) MEDIKABAZAAR(1) Meril healthcare(1) Rajarshri Darshrath Autonomous state medical college(1) Vittarahaa Sciences(1) so these were few companies which provides the offers. At the end of the internship in the sixth year, students will be eligible for campus placements. The highest pacakage offfered to a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) student at Dayananda Sagar University (DSU) in 2024 was INR 35 LPA. In 2023, the highest package was INR 25.5 LPA. There are total of 419 offers, in which the regular offers are 218, dream offers are 185 and super dream offers are 5. The regular offers have an average of below 5 LPA of package. The dream offers have an average of 5 - 10 LPA of pankage The super dream offers have an average package of 10 - 15 LPA After completing the couse there are varities of job oppurtunities in so many differnt fields. You can work as : 1) Community Pharmacist 2) Hospital Pharmacist 3) Clinical Pharmacist 4) Work in Pharmaceutical industiries 5) Food and drug administrator (FDA) 6) Centers for disease control and Prevention (CDC) 7) Medical writer 8) Pharmaceutical Benefits Management (PBM) and the list goes on. There are enenumber of job oppurtunities as it is a huge field and is in demand, you will get to work in any of the fields which intrests you. The field of pharmacy is constantly evolving, creating new and exciting carrer opportunities.%

An OK college, but have to work by yourself on placements mostly

Likes

I like that this collage has specialization like AI, IT, Business analytics
Class room is full of AC and clean classroom
They give break and tea biscuit when we have breeze course starting of the month

Dislikes

No events only 2-3 once in a year but in other campus they have lots of fest and event weekly or monthly wise
They have specialization like IT, business analytics or AI but no placement for these dpecialization
No faculties are good as per specialization

Placement Experience:

From second semester we are eligible for placements. PWC came for B.Com students, EY for finance, other start ups with their marketing and sales jobs with PPOs. After getting the degree, I'm going to my previous company and ask for a higher paying and higher role job.

Truth about our college

Likes

Factualty are friendly, help us to solve our problem
Fees is less compare to other colleges and also DSU has many campus so less price only in Khudlu gate campus
One foreign trip every year for management quota students

Dislikes

Karnataka students is more and they focus only on them
Very less curriculum activities in our campus
Politics is there by local students. Unfair with the students of different state

Placement Experience:

Placement is there but only for marketing and finance and also very less or say no placement for other specialization. Most of the students 50-60% students are of these specialization so again competition is very high people who give there best they placement but here again it is not 80% placement also very less but everyone get the chance

Likes

Lectureing is bad students get bored need to change
Nothing good in campus no social interactions
Infrastructure is good dont fall for that

Everything this college is scam they will suck you for 3years

I liked bcom from first i had no other option than this I thought this college is good but waste This course is lag for 3years 2 years would be better for this course Exam timing is good nothing difficult

Promising but improve Needs

Likes

our college offer well-equipped libraries and labs and cleanly maintained classrooms and floors .
Libraries contain weekly magazine and other updates of department and newspapers .
we have well-supportive and friendly natured faculty who will help us during projects and research paper publishments .

Dislikes

we have less resources in which it effect the student observation in particular labs and particular classrooms .
major disadvantage is we have most internships based on CGPA which gives oppurtunity only for well studied students but not well skilled students .
we suffer for washrooms where the washroom cleaning time is exact at break time . they will not allow us . they will say to go to the other floor .

Placement Experience:

we have best placements oppurtunities which is based on the technical skills and develop their personal skills . we have approx 70-90% of students get placed . the Average package is around 10 LPA . The highest package is offered in 2024 was 28 LPA . some of the top recruiters include TCS , Infosys , Microsoft , Amazon , Nvidia , Bosch and capgemini . some of the top roles offered include software enginner , data analyst , and associate software engineer .

Attendance storage: the minimum required attendance is 85%
Campus location: located in a rural area
Hostel to college distance is around 1km

Placement Experience:

I am from 3rd sem so i don't know more about the placement but as far i know students become eligible from 5th sem. One of my friends sameer from computer science branch recently got a placement of 4lpa he didn't take the placement because i was too less.

DSU PROS AND CONS

Likes

The college has well qualified faculties,modern labs,as well as well stocked library
Wide range of clubs and societies cater to diverse interest like sports,arts,music
Alumini often engage with current students through seminars and workshops creating a greater networking opportunity

Dislikes

There won’t be network signal in the college so that it’s difficult to contact our friends/families in emergency or at normal situation
Hostel food need to be improved , like they should not always put chappathi for lunch and dinner
Though there are qualified faculties , sometimes not all times they won’t come to class instead they will tell you can study anything on your own for sometime

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem placements will be started to the students offering a great packages from 3L to 30L , as of 2024 almost most of the students got placed in our college around 85% ,my plans after getting degree is to do masters on the same course

Let's you have a closer look into industries by industrial visits

Dislikes

Too far to travel and due to in highway weather is not certain
The curfew for hostels is very early want little more freedom
Food is not good if they can change the cooks would be more better

Placement Experience:

By 7 semester they are eligible for placement. There are many companies visiting and recruiting from our campus the average is 15 L and the highest was 55 L and each department has its mark for selecting for placement.

The management if this college is very good

DSU freshers

Likes

All faculty are very well educated with multiple PHD's
The college follows discipline and mainatins rules.
The college has amazing infrastructure and very well designed digital classrooms and labs.

Dislikes

Far from the city, travelling takes up a lot of time.
College starts at 8:30 sharp, for students traveling from far it is a bit tough to reach on time.
They have fests but can expect more fests as it encourages students

Placement Experience:

Students getting above 7 cgpa are eligible for all the placement drives. 90+ % of students get placed. Since it is a university internship opportunities are also equally high. From 2 Nd year onwards students will be getting internships.
