IIIT Pune Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I have chosen this college because I secured 98 percentile in JEE Main. I was confused between taking core in NITs and taking CSE in IIITs. Among all the IIITs established under PPP mode, I found IIIT Pune the best option for me. Due to the location of Pune which is a major IT hub of India, I think it is the third-largest IT hub of India. Even the course curriculum is well-designed, and there is no partiality between CSE and ECE students during placements. Due to these reasons, I have chosen this college. There are various clubs in this college, like Ecell-iiitp,Q-RioCity, Abhinay, Eclectic, Sports Club and BIT-LEGION, which is the ultimate coding club. Several sports competitions also occur in our college like Eklavya Competition. This was the second group of our school to be set, and it's now at a marvellous 36 LPA as the most noteworthy with a normal of 15 LPA, the clump strength was 70 and the arrangement rate remains at 90%. Envision what the positions will resemble when you graduate considering it is an organization of public significance.

First and foremost reason was the brand name IIIT. Getting into a national college under MHRD brings many profits. It's an autonomous college in a public private partnership with govt. Admission is only through JEE mains exam and cut offs are really going higher every year due to the high placement and good ranking of the college improving every year. Reason of choosing IIIT, Pune over any other college was mainly because of Pune City. Pune is a IT Hub and it will be easy to find jobs in Pune. Also, IIIT Pune is a newly establish college , which was established in 2016.

Coding culture of the college is too strong. Placements are also decent for batch 2021 highest package was 40 lakhs offered by Nutanix. Average package is arround 13.5 lakhs. Just drawback is temporary campus. And I guess it will take 3-4 more years to shift to the permanent one. I used Jossa platform while searching the college.

One of the main reasons was that it was a central government college in Pune. If I had gone through more rounds, I would have gone to other colleges, but I needed a CSE so chose this college. Placements for B. Tech students are excellent, which is another reason to choose this college. In terms of drawbacks, we don't have a permanent campus and Šhostel, they are still under construction. Furthermore, COEP, one of the best colleges in Maharashtra, is mentoring the college, which is a plus. The admissions process is the same as that of any other reputable IITs or NITs. We must provide all Bonafede certificates as well as a few undertaking forms. Due to covid-19 restrictions the admission process is being conducted online. Admission Date will be announced by JoSAA and physical reporting is not required as of now.

Good aspects: CS Oriented curriculum(No Physics, Chem in 1st year), good placements(Avg package around 12 LPA for 2020-21 batch), awesome peer group and amazing coding culture, brand value of IIIT, located in Pune which is an IT Hub.Bad aspects: Campus construction is yet not completed, few batches graduated since its a new collegeAdmission process: JoSAA Counselling

Great Placement Record, Nice and updated course curriculum, and IIIT Brand Tag. Less fee and great ROI. Major IT city and great and competitive peer group. Government Institute and brilliant faculties. Nice exposure.

The reason for preferring this institute was that it is located at the IT hub - Pune, because of which there are high chances of getting placement opportunities. My decision was fairly correct as I'm getting lots of opportunities.

From 2nd,3rd year many students gate pre-placement offers by doing internships.every year 80- 90% students get placed. The average package of IIIT pune is 10-12LPA. Many top companies like TCS, samsung visited here
