Bankura University Purandarpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I choose this course because from childhood days I have a strong affection towards Mathematics,so I opt it .In Bankura the best colleges to study are Bankura Sammillani College and Bankura Christian College. In my college student to faculty, the ratio is very good. We have approx 1 faculty per 30 students. Here all the faculty members are very qualified and knowledgeable. They are all Ph.D. holders in their respective fields.Their teaching style is very helpful. Since college is under Bankura University,so we have to follow the academic curriculum of Bankura University.We have 6 semesters. In each semester we have 2 internal assessments and 1 final exam for each subject.

It was 2 exams per year in our college .I love to get exam it was so interesting.I love to attend all the exams .The all questions were quite esay as it was all from our syllabus .totaly was in love with the exams

There is no campus placement at my college. As I am a physics Hons student, my main goal after completing honours is to clear the JAM exam so that I'll get a chance to join the IITs around our country. There are a lot of more competitive exams too like JEST, IISER, BHU etc. All of them are my goal to achieve.

As this is a graduation college they don't provide any campusing to the students. But from the NSS department, they are providing a special campusing program for the students. There is only one company for campusing. Its name is TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES. The highest package a student get from this is 28000 INR after graduation. And the average is 20000 INR. 10-20% of students participate in this program. And among them, only 1-2% got selected. After getting the degree I will go for the GOVERNMENT JOBS like WBCS, UPSC.

5 th semester, of course. The seniors of this college are intelligent as well as well-mannered to get placement. Highest package - 50k-60k The average package is - 20k-30k Well, 30-40% of the students get placement.

After 6th sem, but this is BSc degree, so the student must prefer for MSc PhD bed and then interested in Hobbs like railways, banking, school teacher, college professor, some of the students are getting prepared for UPSC or wbcs to become IAS or IPS or IRS, or officers in the rank of bdo SDO etc. More than 70% of student get placement. My plan is after getting this degree I get MSc from any IIT and PhD from any IIT.

There is no campus placement speciality for our course. But in many time wine factory and pharma factory are coming for offering jobs to the microbiology students. All the students who held 75% above become a job holder.

No placements are available on the university campus. But after pass out many students got chances for the job, a teacher at private law colleges, IT sector etc. Most of the students are connected with this facility.

The admission in this college is based on the merit list. One needs to submit an application form along with the score card of 12th. The details in the forms are to be filled with utmost care as this will help in getting admission.

The students can apply for admission from the online application form which is available from the online website. Then the college puts out around 3-5 merit lists in which the students can check it out later.
