Our hod is very friendly and good teacher, she is very understanding and loves all the students.
Snu have a good track record of placements, with tie-ups with industry partners and a dedicated placement cell to assist students in securing internships and job opportunities.
College provides scholarship for students those got above 80% in their boards exam.. also other scholarship like swami vivekananda scholarship also can be approved by the college, loans are also approved by college which is beneficial for students.

Dislikes

They have enough infrastructure but the management is very sick.
The fees of all the courses are very high but no air conditioner is available in the classroom which makes it very difficult to study in the summer season.
College canteen is too small than the no. of students. and the price of each and every foods are so high. and the food quality in our canteen is too poor. overall our canteen facility is too bad.

Pursuing MCA at Sister Nivedita University, Kolkata

Likes

Labs and other technologies are up to date with modern industry requirements.
Classrooms are big and kept clean. Helps in a tidy study environment

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from 3rd semester itself. MNCs like Cocacola, Amazon, Microsoft, Flipkart are some of the big names that have come to our college with offers. The highest package offered was 80LPA and about 90-95% students get placed every year. Personally I plan on joining an MNC with hopefully a high package.

I love my College campus it's really sooo amazing 😍
My seniors are very nice toward us they are very cooperatives.
My professor are very friendly and cooperative they always listen our problems even our personal problems also they help us in every possible way like psychological help they providers counselling also

Dislikes

Few working stars are very rude they didn't give us proper information on time
Class timing is the kind of a problem for me because it's started at 8 o'clock in the morning 🥲
We have to attend so many seminars and assignment ,examination and class presentation

Placement Experience:

In law field students are in inter after the first year but if we talking about college placement started last 2 years. So many companies come for interview complete come like byju's ,Amazon , Google, Infosys, IBM and so on. The lowest package is 4 lakh per annum and highest package of 2023 is 14 lakh per annum.

To know about the honesty of colleges

Likes

I liked how friendly teachers are , they are way of teaching, understandinf level matched.
I am very much engaged in the campus in a productive way.
I like the library , classes and presentation and seminars

Dislikes

I dislike the class timing. The distance
The adminstration work takes too much time and very rude

Curriculum is great. Few areas are sometimes difficult but teachers try to make it clear with students. Sometimes curriculum is too much lengthy , proper Guidance is needed for the people who make syllabus , but otherwise is good

Numerous number of placements for the students to apply
The campus is overall good including all the basics like canteen, labs etc.
The faculties are really good and helpful.

Dislikes

The administration is too bad. They don’t behave well.
There are no fixed classrooms for BBA you have to change floors after almost every class.
There are only 3 elevators in the building seeing the huge number of students it causes unconvinience.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements are offered to students from the 5th semester. You get multiple opportunities to get placed in a company according to your skills and calibre. Almost 50% of the students get good opportunities for placements and the rest 50% either get them from outside or are not taking placements and opting for a master's degree. My plan after getting the degree is to study for MBA.

Likes

The HOD of the department of psychology is very good , she is very approchable and humble, someone you wouldn't expect to be so sweet and supportive
The other teachers are also good , the faculty is good and uses different methods of teaching some uses ppt, some class lectures amd etc, they have 3 specialization rehab , clinical , organization
The mentored seminar really prepares you dor your dessertation and boostes your confidence and they apply everyyear to rinpass cip pavlov for intership and they did take several batches there

Dislikes

The infrastructure that is they do lack classrooms like one has fo shift from one class to another , also there is no much cultural events organized or like departmental programs they dont always allow except seminar and workshop
Management is a bit strict and uncooperative sometimes though our department head really supported us but yes management is really something of an issue
The specialization selection though the counsellors might say that everyone will get clinical but it doesn't happen like that it is based in marks class performance attendance though this year it was changed because there was a huge strength

Course Curriculum Overview:

First the faculty and internship is one thing that is good hear as well as the monthly seminars , and also the mentored seminar really boosts the confidence and prepares for dissertation but one thing they can improve is recruit more teachers as the number of student is increasing and about exam there is midterm of 20 marks , finals of 50 , mentored seminar each sem 100 marks and class assignemts and ppt

An average person's experience in SNU

Our faculty is very good, they are always helpful towards the students, they have guided us very well throughout our first and second semester hopefully they will be quite helpful in future as well
Our university's overall environment is calm and good and the professors teach us very well and helped us to adapt in this new environment from school to college
There are many things that you can do in our college many extra curricular activities are held here

I'm very much liking the course I'm doing right now. I was a bit hesitant at first with my choice of choosing this course but after joining my college I absolutely felt comfortable with the course I'm doing. The teachers help us to understand all the subjects very clearly and easily which helps us a lot

Pros and cons of taking admission in Sister Nivedita University

Likes

Nice campus, the faculties are good but I think the clinical exposure need more improvement

Dislikes

The behaviour of the staffs of admission department is not so good

Course Curriculum Overview:

We get very short period of time before our semester exams..we almost get 3 and a half month of time for our preparation for the exams. I think this has to be modified.. the students who have a interest to be a medical practitioner but don't have interest to be a doctor than I think this one is a good choice to build a life as a paramedics.

The glimpse of Sister nivedita University

I liked the infrastructure of Sister nivedita University and the campus
I liked the faculties of the college as they are very knowledgeable.
I liked the environment of the college as students are friendly and helpful

Dislikes

Very limited sports opportunity, which I disliked.
I disliked that my college doesn't provide internships in my course .
I disliked that the college securities are very lineant , like any outsider can even enter.

Placement Experience:

Placements in Sister nivedita University is decent, as every year 80 to 85 % students get placed, and the average package in my course in somewhere around 6LPA. MY plan after degree is to get in a job for 2- 3 years and after that to start my own venture.

Expectations vs Reality check for college

The faculties are very frank and supportive and they try to help each and every students in the class. Specifically the ssd classes are the best coz there we as students can interact and share our opinion and learn.
The environment of my college is really peaceful and nice. There is a garden where the gardeners plant the flower plants according to the season i.e it changes with the season. That's why after classes we can sit and chill a bit in the ground.
Beside studies and good faculties, we have a canteen and 3 food truck which provides really nice food at a reasonable price.There is a cafe in our college campus. Though the price is a bit high but it's worth for the food they give.It's super tasty.

Dislikes

There is no ac in classrooms except the labs. Infact the arrangement of fans are not in proper way that's why some get air and some doesn't.
There are very less programs in my college. There is no fest organized by our college.
They don't have a floor for cse department and everytime we have to loiter around the floors to find the given classroom. Sometimes we have classes in 9th floor the next moment in 3rd. There is no auditorium except 1 seminar hall which is not so big.

Placement Experience:

From the end of 2nd year , students are offers internships and at the end of 3rd year we can sit for placement offers. Tcs, capgemini, cognizant and amazon are few companies which visits our college. Highest package is like 7 lpa. 50% of the students get placement on campus. In i get a decent package placement on campus it's well and good if i don't get it i will simply complete my degree then start preparing for interviews and learn more skills.

My college SNU offers a vibrant academic environment with lots of courses for those who are interested . the campus is also very nice with lots of activities such as , club and events that cater various interest & strong sense of community among them
Our college also have welled equipped laboratories, modern classrooms, and extensive libraries, providing all the student with there required subjects thy need. Our college also provide learning opportunities through hackathorn, research project etc.
Our campus is located in north 24 pargana kolkata, college also emphasizes holistic development with support services for students well being and career guidance. Our college also offers students to access cultural attraction, internships .

Dislikes

The thing that our college should focused is the clean of water, it doesn't sound pleasant at all, it is important to college to maintain cleanliness and should maintain hygiene, standards, specially in common areas like canteen and inside the clg..
one more important thing is that our college elevator does not work properly, sometimes we have us stairs to go 8th floor to reach our classroom. Our college consists of 6 elevators where as the 3 elevators are damage & does not work.

Placement Experience:

the placements of my college is good ith a highest packege of 51lpa. it is elegibal for the 2nd or 3rd year student for internship or job opportunities according to there requied skills for the job. the companies that visit our college are Amazon , Google , Infosys and Wipro etc, almose & 70% students are placed in our college every year. my planes is to complete the requied skills to be learned to get a job within 2nd year .
