Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya : India's first university in transportation and logistics sector

Likes

I loved the lush green campus of GSV which provides immense peace from our hectic college schedules.
Friendly and supportive nature of faculty and staff.
Internship facilities right from first year makes us industry ready.

Dislikes

No in campus hostel facility for first year boys.
Limited classroom facility, less number of classrooms.
Not advanced lab facilities is available.

Placement Experience:

You get eligible for campus placements once get into 7th semester. Various campanies visit Gsv such as L&T , Alstom ,Seimens etc. The average campus placement is not so good as our first batch graduated in 2024, yet it achieved 100% placements for management courses.

Likes

It is very beautiful from inside and very photogenic you can keep clicking pictures all the day

Dislikes

The college is constructing more hostel and lab buildings which is why some roads are under construction

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is similar to that of IITs and as it is a transportation university so the syllabus is a bit more than other universities as it contains 20% of curriculum related to railways or transportation.

Likes

Environment is good there are lots of birds
Faculty is good and have high qualifications
College culture is good and have relation among student

Dislikes

There is lack of sport facilities in the campus
Absence of freshers party ..they will not provide us
We have maintain discipline as it is NAIR campus too

Course Curriculum Overview:

As it is government college under railway ministry so it helpful for student to get internship and descent placements and provide scholarship for student many private player are also involved in the process ..and this college mainy focus on transportation sector..so it helpful for me as i continue mechanical engineering

gati shakti vishwavidalay is a peaceful place.

Likes

The campus is green and beautiful. there are peacocks in the campus.
the overall academics is good. teachers are good and educated.Most of the teachers are cooperative.
We are provided with internship opportunities for every year student form college itself. We are taken to industrial visits atleast once per semester.

Dislikes

The classrooms are not well equiped. Teachers dont use smart board that creates problem for students for notes during time of examination.
As there are less no. of students it is boon and bann at the same time . We dont get to experience the actual competetion .
the fest are very poor . even schools annual function is better than fests of aur college.

Placement Experience:

being the new college and cosidering the recession the placements here are not good as of now but definately it will be good in upcoming years. as of m=now the average package is 5 lakhs and the minimum package can go as low as 2 lakhs per annum.

Life at GSV

Likes

Nice hostel facility, clean rooms and attached washroom with each rooms
Clean campus environment and well behaved ataffs
Helpful faculty and office and auxiliary staff

Dislikes

GSV needs infrastructural development as it has small labs
Classrooms require renovation and fitting of smart screens
No accommodation of first year boys at university campus

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is not so good at gsv. Being a nwe and young university, not so many reputed and well known companies visit. But still management is trying its best to ensure high placement records. Companies which visited were Land T, RVNL, and Alstrom

GOOD TO KNOW

Likes

Faculty are really good .they will always support u if u want to start or do something useful
Mess food is spicy enough since i like spice at first i thought food will be sweet but its good
Rooms are very tidy and clean. the staff are good too.

Dislikes

Not enough infrastructure for labs, sports etc No enough space to conduct any kind of parties, no required sports equipment.
Not much involvement in conducting any kind of festivals or fests
There should be allow inside the palace daily. it hurting to just see and enjoy from outside only.

in 7th and 8th semester we got to eligible for campus placements. in our college civil branch has got highest packages compared to others. and some branches are yet dont have any senior batch who are eligible for placements. but now our college is improving well comparitively. and we can even apply for gate exam.

Best for Railway related jobs.

Likes

We are provided internship with government organisation from first year onwards with indian railways .
Nice campus with full of greenery , flaura and fauna . Hostels are really good.
Seniors, Faculties are very cooperative.

Dislikes

Sports facilities are not that good as i expected.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is ok as we are having specialization in rail engineering so it is according to that only. My branch is mechanical engineering specialization in rail engineering. We are having mechanical engineering subjects as well rail engineering subjects.

First railway college in India

Likes

Campus and there hospitality is excellent you feel like 5 star hotel because hostel rooms are too good and well furnished
Campus environment is very peaceful and greenery
And most importantly faculty which is the main thing for the college selection gati Shakti had iit, nit graduated person

Dislikes

You are not allowed to go outside after 11 pm and here is all security is handled by railway police force
Sometimes ragging will be done by senior but college is very strict about this matter but new student don't say or report about that

Placement Experience:

Here placement ratio is amazing, many companies visited there and specially psu also visit to hire students with good package. last year placement is 91 percent, if you are good in academic and hold 7.5 cgpa atleast then you don't worry about placement you will get easily because too many companies visit in this college campus to hire students

hostel and mess facilities are you are provided ac and attached bathroom in every room
seniors are really good they treat us like thier younger brother
administrations is really responsive they take immidiate actions

Dislikes

clubs and cultural society are not that good
sports facilities are not that good and sports ground is also to small
sometime schedule of classesare are really hectic

Placement Experience:

the plaement record of btech is not yet announed as it first batch of btech from college that pass out this year recruter companies like l&t rvnl alstrom airbus etc come for placement so it is going to be good

Campus is full of lavish and beautiful , campus life is too good different diffn. activities occurs
course curriculum is totally designed industry driven and GATE aspects labs are well established

Dislikes

7-8 hrs of classes monday - friday (but good thing is saturday sunday is off)
placements are in good percentage but average package is little bit low

Placement Experience:

from the 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. placement records- ECE: 70% , CIVIL : 88 % MBA : 100% companies like L&T, TATA consulting, wabcco, Systra, DFCCIL, DB rail , RVNL, IG drones , Mahindra Logistics, and many more companies visited. Highest package is 10 lakh and avg. package is 4-5 lakh.
