- The coursework and professors the grading is really strict
Campus Life
- It's good, lots of stuff to do on campus.
Accommodation
- Accommodations are available and pretty affordable.
Likes
- The campus facilities like stores and Indoor games
- Accommodations are nearby and neat
- Food court and shops all around campus
Dislikes
- Big campus so its hard to walk all across the campus.
- In some hours. You have to wait for 10-15 minutes to get the next bus to home
- For car parking. You have to pay parking fees per month.
Campus Life
- It's only 1 campus, but it's really big, 400 acres big. There is everything on the campus, food, sports area, cafes, restaurants, libraries, 2 nd largest pyramid of USa, and its basketball court. Soccer ground, baseball.
- There are an endless number of clubs and events going on all the timein campus. Flee, fair 4th July festival. The beach is also nearby.
Accommodation
- I was living in off-campus apartments, because it's well known that Indians live there, so it was really easy to find them through Facebook groups. The monthly rent was $1300 for me because I chose to live in a private room.
- Also, there is whatsapp group of Indian students in Long Beach; there are 2000 students in that group. You can faind solution very easily. My apartment was hardly 5 minutes away. Beverly Hills' apartment is very popular for Indian students' accommodation, its neat CSU Long Beach.

Likes
- The campus is really nice with a beautiful and peaceful environment.
- Friends are kind and supportive and the community here is very welcoming.
- There are many departments offering diverse opportunities for learning and growth.
Dislikes
- There’s nothing I dislike about the college. It’s a wonderful place to study with great people, supportive faculty, and a positive environment that makes every day enjoyable and motivating.
- There should be some more focus on students career building.
- There should be increase in number of amenities for students such as day-to-day activities.
Campus Life
- The college has one main campus with a library, sports complex, and medical center(SHS). Popular festivals include Homecoming, Spring Fest, and Monday events. Numerous clubs focus on robotics, arts, engineering, and entrepreneurship.
- Students engage in sports, cultural events, and volunteer activities such as Event Pride, which creates a vibrant, interactive campus life that encourages both personal growth and community involvement.
Accommodation
- I opted for off-campus accommodation, found mainly through Facebook and Telegram student groups. Monthly rent was around $550, including Wi-Fi and utilities. Some challenges included high demand and limited listings near campus, and not proper knowledge of the areas. Most Indian students stay nearby for convenience.
- I recommend starting the search early, visiting multiple options, and confirming safety and amenities before finalizing.

Likes
- Great environment and friendly atmosphere in general
- Some Professors are really good, like Michael Todd, Fahim, Bo Fu
- Assignments and projects are really managable with social life and designed in a way so that you could focus on networking event.
Dislikes
- I think some Professors are really there just for the sake of completing the subject, which is true in almost majority universities.
- College Pantry is really not good, some food items are expired, so watch out.
- I think we have less Career fairs for Computer Science/IT students, because majority are for core engineering field like electrical and mechanical.
Campus Life
- We have a lot of campus from engineering, art, kinesiology, MBA building, and it's all at 1250 Bellflower Blvd, Long Beach, CA-90840. We do have a library and a recreation centre for sports and medical services, as well as in other buildings. We have Diwali and Holi events every year, managed by Indian students working part-time there.
- In Diwali, we all contribute $5 to the community, and we have a nice event with music and a buffet.
Accommodation
- I used Facebook and WhatsApp groups and also contacted people on LinkedIn, so it was a mix. The monthly rent was 700, and we had centralized AC, a refrigerator, 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms in an apartment.
- The biggest challenge was to find good roommates, which I was lucky with; fortunately, I had good people around me. I would say search Facebook and WhatsApp groups online for accommodation. My flat is 2 kilometers away from the college campus. Most Indians stay at 5050 E Garford St.

- Course Structure: The curriculum of my course is very flexible and detail oriented, letting me to gain good knowledge and experience in my desired field.
- Location perspective: CSU, Long beach being near to Los Angeles looks a plus point to connect industry hubs that enhances access to internship, networking events and job opportunities.
- Professor's Research: Depth research of professors helps us to get mentorship and opportunity for innovative projects.
Dislikes
- Increased number of Indians
- Less interaction with students from other countries. But it depends on every individual how they are involved with them.
- Food served for Vegan is quite clean, many won't like it.
Campus Life
- California State University has 23 campus across California
- Facility of Library is accessible to the whole university, other facilities like university gym and sports and other clubs depends on every departments.
Accommodation
- I came across a whatsapp group through a senior whom I connected on linkedin and she gave me all the resources where I could come across accommodation.
- Monthly rent ranges between $450 - $650 depending on the lease and apartments.
- No as such challenges till now
- Before deciding university have a talk with seniors of that particular university and on finalising the university connect to more seniors and alumni of that particular university so they can guide you better.
- Its hardly takes10 to 15 mins to reach the university by local transit bus.

Campus Life
The campus life is vibrant and with ample oppurtinities for social interactions. infrastructure is also very good with library, study rooms and clubs and fests.
Accommodation
I opted for off campus housing. I priotized appartments close to campus I looked for essential facilities such as safe neighbourhood, internet and basic needs. Flexible lease terms were also considered in finalizing stay.
Campus Life
There’s a club for everything on campus and there are programs to help students join research in the university. We have a big gym and almost a place for every sport. There are labs for everything if you’re a STEM major. Wifi is available everywhere on campus and the library is pretty huge including collaborative spaces and a lab.
Accommodation
So the average living expense if you live in sharing can come to as low as 700-800 per month but if you want to live luxuriously there is no upper limit to it.
Campus Life
There are events happening every week and multiple clubs for social and professional development. We have a state of the art gym with classes in yoga and fitness. There are also sports tournaments.
Accommodation
Rentals in California are sky-high. I pay 620 including utilities while sharing with 2 people. 7 min bus ride from campus. If you live on campus you pay like 1100 and on top u have to pay for food, compulsory. Plus you don’t get ensured housing.
