Likes

Students can get scholarships like swami vivekananda merit cum means scholarship.
Companies like tcs, wipro, info, tejas network, grant thomson, pwc india, ibm, etc, and the placement percentage is also so good approx 90 percent of students get placed.
The campus is so beautiful and peaceful . the natural environment is there so i liked it

Dislikes

Fees is little bit high so it is a problem for a middle class guy
From the last 3 year's there is no fest organized due to students fight
There are no boys hostel inside campus which is not good

The College Life :-UNBELIEVABLE

Likes

College infrastucture. canteen and little bit environment
Sports activities, faculty, labs and many more things

Dislikes

canteen is overpriced . no transport facility for students
no fest, no parties, much more assignments

Placement Experience:

from end of third sem students are eligible for placement companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Tejas and many more come in colleges .. highest on campus placement is :- rs 200000 average is 4 to 5 lakhs per year.

Heritage Institute of Technology: College Review

Likes

Faculties are well qualified and they teach well. Some faculties teach very well and make students understand in easy ways. They also provide their contact number to help students in studies.
Since it is a private college, it has very good infrastructure. The library is very large and filled with good books and journals. The labs are well equipped with necessary equipments.
Here, canteen provides good quality food.

Dislikes

Very low placement opportunities. Mostly students are placed in TCS. And some goes for off campus placement or GATE exam.
No internship opportunities. Students have to upskill by themselves and apply online for internships.
No boys hostel inside college campus. Since there is no any boys hostel inside campus so campus life is missed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is very relevant for the job market. The curriculum includes core computer science subjects and some management subjects as the branch is computer science and business system. In first year 4 surprise tests occur in each subject, from second year mid semester exams take place instead of surprise tests.

Cheap and Best College

Likes

I like the laboratories of the Department .
I like the faculty members of the the college and department also.
I like the teaching skills of the faculty members.

Dislikes

No fest or any other events conduct by the the college management.
No restriction on girls and boys dress.It means no dress code
No play ground in the college for college students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course Comprehensive is best and the the all faculty members complete their course on time and with better skills and also give a suggestion for the exams of a Semester and other compatetative examaminations.

A decent and affordable college

Likes

I like the affordability as the fees is minimal and they provide almost every facilities. Also the girls to boys is very good. For example in my batch there are 25 girls and 35 boys.
I like the sports facilities inside the campus
I also like the canteen. There are total 3 canteens in the campus.

Dislikes

The course Curriculum is not well updated and no changes in the examination pattern
The campus life is not very good because almost no fests takes place from past 4 years
The teachers are not that much supporting and also the placement is not so good

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent if you are from top 4 or 5 branches. In lower branches very less chance of getting placed. You have to do coding to get placed as there were not so much opportunities in the core sector. Average package was around 4.5 lpa and one student got 1.6 cr package but off campus. Almost 60 percent students get placed. My plan is to clear gate and pursue masters from IIT

The Heritage Experience

It is an autonomous institute which makes it somewhat flexible with the timing of exams and practicals.
The course is aligned as per a preofessional CSE course ,which is actually impressive, keeping in mind that it is an autonomy.
The college has a certain number of fests and cultural programs that are highly interactive, you start to polish/develop social skills in the first 2-3 months of your college life

Dislikes

The faculty here is good in some branches but the physics branch has to be the worst as compared to any other institute.
The ROI offered is good but not as per the expectations ,so you might have to depend on off-campus placements for a higher pay grade.
There is a vast difference in boys to girls ratio with it being about 10:1 in every class.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th sem, the students are eligible to go for campus placements which are offered by companies like Cognizant ,Wipro, Infosys ,Microsoft, HCL are some major companies which recruit around 100-120 students every year. The average package offered by these companies is around 6-7 LPA and the highest is around 12-13LPA on campus, the current record comprises 89% placements from overall branches. As of now, I have planned to target certain companies otherwise, I am most likely to go for my masters through the GATE exam.

The campus of Heritage institute of technology is pretty good
As most of the students of this college have taken admission through counselling with a quite good wbjee/jee mains rank.. so most of the students are quite studios
As this is an autonomous college.. so the teachers helps a lot for exams

Dislikes

Heritage Institute of Technology is a reputated college but for somehow.. I don't like the fact why no fests happens in this college

Placement Experience:

In our college, students from 3rd year have to do an internship program within a specific period of time(it can be 2 months, 3 months depending on it).. and from 7th sem.. student's are eligible for on campus placements.The companies that visit our college for campus placements are tcs, IBM, wipro, cognizant, and many more and approx 80% of students get on campus placements with an average package of 3.5-4 lpa every year.. And if I come to my plan after btech.. then absolutely job..

Dislikes

Most of the teacher help from West Bengal and occasionally they might switch to Bangla during class discussion however you can politely request them to explain in English or Hindi
Majority of the mase and restaurants of since are influenced by the West Bengal CU science which might make you feel a bit left out initially however time passes you will adopt and fill right at home with the variety of
Top tire support facility like swimming pools are often percent at certain institute but are typically accessible only to the school students not for the college students

Placement at it is institute of technology students become eligible for campus placement for their 7 semester provided they made the minimum academic recruitment and attempt placement preparation affiliated it is institute of technology during the placement type some of the top companies visiting the campus including TCS Wipro Infosys and so many more each year a substantial number of offers are made with students receiving multiple opportunity across various sector. The highest package offered in recent year was around 1600000 lpa. After completing my degree I plan to pursue a career in artificial intelligence software developing management etc and I will the placement opportunity provide by the call is if I do not secure a job through campus placement I plan to pursue for the studies or explore intensive to enhance my employeebility employeebility

COLLEGE IS SMALL ,CAMPUS LIFE IS NEGLIGIBLE , ITS LIKE DOING BTECH IN A SCHOOL

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is not too good . There are limited recruitments . Some companies like TCS , COGNIZANT comes to our college . Over a few year it has declined more Average package : 4LPA HIghest package : 12 LPA ( as per my knowledge) This college i guss is more suitable for gate preparation rather than placements

Most of the professors are very understanding and are highly educated. They dedicatedly teaches their subject and also they solve doubts outside the classroom or you can meet them personally regarding your doubts .
HIT have excellent sports facility . It has seperate grounds for tennis , cricket (small+big),basketball,football,rockclimbing,archery,shooting,.Also it has indoor facilities for chess shooting, tabletennis . And dedicated coaches for each sport.
HIT organises many events , have many societies , also have GDG (one of the largest in Kolkata) . And you are free to join any of these societies.

Dislikes

Here most of the teachers are from WB , so sometimes they start talking in Bangla so as a Non - Bengali you sometimes feel left-out.
Also most of the students are from WB so in starting it takes some time to patch-up with them.
There are many more sports like rock-climbing, swimming, shot - put ,etc but only for school students .

Placement Experience:

Talking about CSE in 2024 the highest pakage was 1.16 cr (of campus ) with an average of 7-8 lpa(in CSE) . With a percentage placement of 80% in CSE . Talking about 2023 the highest pakage was 75 lpa with a median pakage of 4.83 lpa (all branches combined).

College has a good hackthon culture, and teachers are also supportive
Although you will not find as such campus life , and no fest
Faculties are good but sometime they force you for attendance

Dislikes

No fest , you will not find any cultural fest or tech fest
75% rule will applicable if you are in ITbranch
Placement of this college is not so good

Course Curriculum Overview:

Although information technology is good currently.. and just recently out dept won Smart India hackathon but courses are not updated you need to learn new things by your own. But some teachers like spb is very helpful

Heritage Institute of Technology is the best private college in Kolkata with good campus life. A senior of mine is an alumnus of the college and he always speaks about its infrastructure, placements, and campus facilities.

Location: - It is located near the prime market of Kolkata making it well connected to communication services.
Fees: - The fess has been increased slightly but if admission is granted you’re are eligible to apply for a study loan
Labs: - All the facilities and the technologies in the lab are up to date and well equipped for ease of handling by the students.
Professors: - all the professors are highly experienced, some with a Ph.D. degree, and they are well known and acknowledged in society.
Library: - Fully stacked with books, articles, research papers and has access to many foreign libraries accessing outside files.

The campus has a huge ground and it also has a large pond. It has a very well-maintained infrastructure. They also provide students with all the necessary facilities. The canteen serves very well but it is really expensive. But overall it is manageable for students.
