Likes

Students can get scholarships like swami vivekananda merit cum means scholarship.
Companies like tcs, wipro, info, tejas network, grant thomson, pwc india, ibm, etc, and the placement percentage is also so good approx 90 percent of students get placed.
The campus is so beautiful and peaceful . the natural environment is there so i liked it

Dislikes

Fees is little bit high so it is a problem for a middle class guy
From the last 3 year's there is no fest organized due to students fight
There are no boys hostel inside campus which is not good

College review from a 2nd year student

Likes

The college environment is great, there are lots of plants and greenery outside the building
The security system is really strong and we feel completely safe inside college campus
The rooms are spacious and most of the laboratories have AC

Dislikes

There are 3-4 faculties who are really old, so the students can barely hear their voices
The library doesn't allow access to laptop for 1st and 2nd year students

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for on campus placements after completing 5th semester (during 3rd year). If no campus placement is offered, one can still apply for different private companies off campus or continue further study for GATE or CAT exams which leads to M.Tech. and MBA courses respectively. To be honest, the employability after doing further degree after B.Tech. is way better. Pursuing Ph.D is also a great option. 80-85% students get placements after completing B.Tech (this percentage varies every year). My personal plan after completing B.Tech is to have a 2 years job experience and then I want to do an MBA (The 2 years job experience will help me get greater grades while doing MBA).

The College Journey

Likes

The Environment of College is so much good.
The Faculty members of College specially the departmental were so helpful.
Proudly, I can say it is the no.1 private college of Engineering in West Bengal still now.

Dislikes

They Don't have any kind of Time sense at all.
No such facilities for hostels for boys in the campus.
No facility for travel , like any bus for college students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is to talk about the co- curriculum activities , , here so much clubs are there like dance song drama sports etc. So extra curriculum activities are so so much there in our college. And the festival are always there in our college

Overview of Heritage Institute of Technology from Jayabrata (CR from CE'24)

Likes

Smoothness of the total journey. Its completely hassle free. Each and every dept is very helpful.
The central library. Its so equipped that you need not to buy any books for your classes.
The campus is itself a heaven. There are several fields for each games. All are surrounded by greenery.

Dislikes

Class timing was from 9 am sharp. It was sometimes difficult especially in winter.
The invigilation was really very tough during semester exams.
There is no hostel facility for boys. It was really difficult for boys but there were a lot of girls hostels.

Placement Experience:

In my dept there was a very nice placement season. There were a lot of companies who came for hiring. If one cant find any campus placement then they go for off campus also, many information related to off campus are shared by our college also.

Outstanding campus with nearly all necessary infrastructures including well maintained air conditioned library, labs, auditorium
Club activities very engaging are worth taking part in.
Faculty is very friendly and helpful in my department.

Dislikes

Hostel should be renovated and taken care of.
Arrangements for fests should start again.

Placement Experience:

Generally IT branches get more placements that core branches. But in my time we had more core companies visiting our college than any IT company. Companies like TCS, cognizant, pinnacle, wood, DCPL and manyyy more visits HITK. Placement drive is very good compared to any other Private Engineering college in WB with packages ranging between 3,00,000 rs per annum to 8,00,000 rs per annum for my branch. Average package is nearly 4,00,000 per annum.

Likes

No ragging in the campus, seniors are cooperative.
Labs are well equipped with latest techs and ACs.
Canteen food is good and affordable, but cateen is not maintained

Dislikes

Very small campus, only 3 buildings for btech., 1 common football ground for sports
Rate of Investment (ROI) was good earlier when the fees was less, but now it's not good as the fees is increased by 2 lakhs.
No internship from college's side, even placement stats are not very appealing.

Placement Experience:

Placement in CSE department is decent, they get you a job but not very promising package, you have to go off campus for good Placements, the college brings companies but not very attractive offers, even you have to find internships on your own.

You can enter in college campus at any time as if you want to attend classes after break due to some reason.
College library is quite good place for study. E Library is also provided. On workings days it remains open till 8 pm and on Saturday the college is off but the library opens till mid day!
For the placement, interview practice psychology class also done in the first year class. That provide some confident how and what we have to speak.

Dislikes

Sometimes faculty member not much supporting attendance is compulsory.
Not much self exploration clubs are there but some are dead

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placenents . Tcs, wipro, cognizant, cozeva, ey, and many company visit our college . They offer different palcemt offer Highest on campus is 16 lakh. And average is alound 4.5l My plans after getting the degree is to get job as software developer in any good company

All you need to know about HERITAGE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

The first thing i liked is the infrastructure, it's too good when you compare with other colleges in Kolkata. We get good field for sports and events too
The laborateries are very clean and has more than enough equipments to perform the tasks given
The college provides a number of mentorship programs in the campus itself which gives us very innovative ideas to start with

Dislikes

The faculty of teaching are poor as they try to just make us study the things only coming for semester
There's a language barrier as most of people including teachers teaches in Bengali
They don't conduct mid sem which results in extreme pressure during the end of semester

Placement Experience:

Usually, Students get eligible from the end of 3rd year for the campus placement. There are different companies which include TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, NINJA, AMAZON, etc. which offers students for an average of 6 lakhs per annum to 20 lakhs per annum. But students to get eligible to sit in placement cells should maintain a base average CGPA. Almost 60 to 70 percent of the students get placed in good companies. I am personally targeting Amazon to get a good amount as my specialization will be very beneficial for them.

As a fresher my point of view on my college

The campus and the faculty facilities are too good here in HIT.

Placement Experience:

About the placement i can say as i have heard from my seniors, IT and CSE sectors get very great placements. The highest of previous year was 16LPA and the average was 4-5LPA. Almost 90% gets placement as I have heard.

The engagement with the campus is good as a first' year there is no such ragging in this college
You will be provided the best faculty. The faculties are very supportive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As this college is a autonomous college in west bengal, his college provides you it's own syllabus which is best to help students to learn various things and provides practical 5 times in a week which proves that the college is practical based.

I like about my college is the infra structures. Full of greenary and trees.
I like about the college is very good faculties and lab facilities

Nothing to dislike about our college but one thing is no fest till 3 years

For computer science and engineering student placement is good. Almost everyone get the placement offer on campus. But in case any one do not get campus placement the can apply off campus and as the college is one of the top colleges in kolkata you will get benefits for this.

Heritage Institute of Technology is the best private college in Kolkata with good campus life. A senior of mine is an alumnus of the college and he always speaks about its infrastructure, placements, and campus facilities.

Location: - It is located near the prime market of Kolkata making it well connected to communication services.
Fees: - The fess has been increased slightly but if admission is granted you’re are eligible to apply for a study loan
Labs: - All the facilities and the technologies in the lab are up to date and well equipped for ease of handling by the students.
Professors: - all the professors are highly experienced, some with a Ph.D. degree, and they are well known and acknowledged in society.
Library: - Fully stacked with books, articles, research papers and has access to many foreign libraries accessing outside files.
