IEM Kolkata (IEM Saltlake) Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From the 3rd year students get eligible for campus placements and before that we get to do internships in the end of the 2nd year. Highest and average package differs in each year based on the companies and qualifications of the students. All the students sitting for placements get jobs after 3rd year. After getting the degree I will do the job in any corporate world for a maximum of 2years then I will concentrate on my MBA.

After the completion of the 2nd-year college provides internships, and campus placement takes place from 3rd year. Companies like Deloitte, TCS, EY, Cognizant, Infosys, Capgemini, WIPRO, Amazon etc Highest package is 3.70 LPA (for BBA) Average package 1.2 LPA (for BBA) 85-90% of students get placed every year. After completing my BBA from IEM I will be pursuing my MBA from IIM if I'm lucky enough to crack CAT.

The students are eligible to sit for placements once they are completed their 2nd Year. Many students do not sit for the placements as they want to go for higher studies but the ones who sit for placements, about 80-90% of them get placed in some company. I have opted for the placements and currently waiting for the placements to begin.

You would be under great faculties after the 2nd year of your college under the IT department. If you interact with your teachers well, I assure you that they will look after you and make you overcome your weaknesses. They are more enthusiastic about improving the students through various brainstorming sessions within the course.

From 3rd sem a student are allowed for placement. The company visit here are mainy tcs, wipro, cognigent, accenture, infosys etc. Average package is around 4-5LPA for cse,it ece brances.non core is okeyish

Our college is very good in terms of placement. Students get eligible for placement in from 6th semester and they got placer from 7th semester. About 90% students get placed with an average package of 5-6 lpa and highest package offered is 42 lpa. Top recruiting companies are TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS etc.

Placement is not much better but if you have skill you can get a better placement in the college. A lot of companies visit the college.About 80%of student get placement in the college.Highest package is 400000pa and the average package is 5lakh

From 3 year some of the students become able to grab job.about 40+ companies visit the college.As i have heard from one of the teacher that highest package was 45 lakh p.a.The average package goes upto 4 to 5 lakh pa.

I chose this course because living electronically. faculty:student ratio is 1:40. IEM brings visiting faculties from reputed Government institutes and from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) to motivate students and take classes on a regular basis. All exam are on time.

After the third-year student becomes eligible for campus placement. Companies like Wipro, Cognizant, TCS, Oracle, etc visits our college almost every student gets two to three job opportunities. Almost every student gets placed. After getting the degree I will look for Mtech or MBA.
