IEM Kolkata (IEM Saltlake) Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The placements at my college are better than most of the colleges in West Bengal. The average package is around 4,00,000-5,00,000 for more than 95% of CSE, IT, and ECE students. If you looking for core jobs then I would recommend you to go somewhere else as there are very fewer core companies in Kolkata and IEM is surrounded by tech companies. That's the reason most of the core students go for higher education. The highest package is 18 Lakhs for on-campus placement by ORACLE and for off-campus it is 72 Lakhs in 2022.

Due to the craze of cse and IT, I am pursuing this branch. personally, I suggest if you are not from a very renowned college then try to grab the main branch like cse, it, ece. The faculty is very supportive and qualified. The exam is conducted on time as one sem of 6 months consists of two small exams + one final exam. difficult level is not so high if you study honestly. definitely you will get a good score. even study 1-2 weeks before the exam.

In the college, placements start in the 7th semester, for the final year students, the on-campus and campus placements ratio for our college students is high, and mass recruiters like TCS also come for placements.

We become eligible from the later part of the third year to sit for the placements as the companies arrive then. Mainly placements are dependent on service-based companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro e.t.c. who mass recruits a whole lot of students with standard 3.5 to 4 LPA packages. Product-based companies like Oracle, Amazon, and trilogy too visited the campus. Oracle recruited a few of the candidates, Amazon too but nobody could clear the trilogy's OA rounds. Oracle offered a package of 15lpa and Amazon around 22 LPA. But a lot of students applied off campus and the highest placement off campus was 72 LPA in Google. The placement percentage is nearly 100% which is mainly due to the fact of service-based companies. I too am interested in IT jobs so am preparing for the same.

I.E.M is mainly known for its high placement records. Averagely most of the students get an annual package of 240000 INR. Many big companies come here for the recruitment like Delloite, Amazon, Cognizant, TCS, etc.

There are a lot of placement opportunities for good students, and the college itself helps the students with good placements. There is a placement cell too. The college also provides special aptitude classes for good placement. In the current year, 2022 almost 1400 offers were given, and many students got double triple quadruple offers. The Top companies are TCS, Capgemini, Oracle, Adobe, Ola electric, Accenture, Infosys, and Cognizant. The highest on-campus offer was 16.64 LPA given to 15 students by Oracle, Adobe with 11 lap to 1 student, EQ technologies with 11.76 to 6 students, Lexmark with 10.5 LPA to 8 students, Ola electric with 9 LPA to 9 students and many more. There are also gate opportunities in the college, the college itself provides GATE classes. I will prefer to take a placement.

Students will be eligible from their last years i.e. from the 7th semester. Many top companies visit the colleges for campus placement. Some of the companies are cognizant, Wipro, TCS, and many others. The highest package offered was 41 LPA and the average package is 4-5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is more than 90 percent. I plan to get the degree to work in top companies.

Everything is fine absolutely nothing problem, my course is BCA which I had chosen and programming is taught in a very good way here. the faculties are excellent. Overall my experience is too good here.

Generally, after the 6th sems, students are eligible for campus placements. The average package is probably 5 lakhs. A high percentage of students get job offers. It is likely more than 90%. My plans would be to pursue higher studies or get a job.
