IEM Kolkata (IEM Saltlake) Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

My college was affiliated with Makaut but now it is autonomous. The course syllabus is quite old and terrific, it needs a change which might get changed in the coming years. We don't get enough industrial exposure. The faculties are quite knowledgeable, some of them are from IIT's but the are very old. Many of them are not able to speak clearly and loudly. Our ECE HOD- MALAY GANDHOPADHAAY is very supportive and understanding. Very cool person.

You have to come college in proper time with proper uniform.If he or she late in 5 mins then he or she may not enter.

If you are a studious type of person then you will enjoy the college. Not only enjoy it will be a paradise for you. But some students believe in roaming, chilling out with friends, do social work or play sports, these are the sector which is not promoted much. So look at yourself, if your quality suits the environment I would recommend you to come to IEM Kolkata.

Overall the college is good. Faculties are also nice. Only the college is a little strict.

I got the admission through one of the entrance test called 'COMMON ENTRANCE TEST' (CET). We get seat through this entrance test based on the rankings. I chose the civil engineering branch because I was always interested in construction activities.

Good point. Disciplined, Good education, good teachers, good students, good environment for study. Bad point. Very much conscious about college reporting timing.

The college has done sufficient for the students. And also in the lockdown they are taking online classes so that the students doesn't lag behind. They want the best for their students and surely this is something commendable.

Placement of CSE/ECE/IT are 100% almost. Each and every students of these above branches get placed here with an average package of 4.5 lacs per annum. Yeah my colleges also provides internship in many good it based company. Even this year Amazon has also arrived here for internships opportunity. With the stipend of 60, 000 per month. So that's great opportunity my college has received this year.

Very stict. It should not be. Little freeness required for social life.
