IEM Kolkata (IEM Saltlake) Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I filled the form because of Jadavpur University as it's one of the best in India and after the results came out I was allotted to this College which is on the 2nd position in West Bengal ranking. And the highest package was 40 lakh last year.

I couldn't clear JEE and after spending 2 years in Kota, I couldn't quit Engineering, So after getting rejected from all tier 1 colleges, I got admission here based on their placement record and facilities.

Because of the way of learning they provide which we have heard from our seniors of our school.Good job opruntunities.preparing us to face interview and overcome our fear to face an interview. And takes care of overall development of ur mind.

The college provides students with numerous opportunities including seminars, webinars, internships etc. The reason for joining this college is mostly because it has a good placement record. The college has uniform which is something most do not like, but it gives a corporate feel. The faculty is average. I’ve chosen my course( ie ECE) Because the faculty is really good and the placement records are top notch. The college faculty is really strict.

I was unable to score high enough on the All India JEE Mains and Advanced Examination, and based on my state rankings, I got admission in the college. It's reputation, placement opportunities, and good opportunities for external exposure like internships, workshops, international industry tours sets it apart.

Academically nice college but less infrastructurally developed.

Overall college is good choice if you have not many choices and best if you have only sit for WEBJEE and not secured minimum rank for getting Jadavpur.

It is the best private college in Kolkata and has been ranked the 2nd best college in the Western Indian Region. Also, after talking to the passed out students back in 2011, the placement percentage was around 80% which has gone above 95% is the last few years after I passed out. The likes of Amazon, Microsoft and service companies like Tech mahindra, Wipro, IBM, CTS, TCS, Capgemini, SAP, etc have been amongst the organizations which come regularly to hire freshers

The decipline in the college is very rare to find but in our college there is no ragging done it was the one of the best thing of our college that have facinated me very much and the decorom and strictness of our college helps us to buil us for our up comming future jobs

The thing which drove is that there are several reasons like college course type, transit availability. Moreover, things like good infrastructure matter too. The main thing about the college is its placement
