The teaching staff is amazing, providing in depth knowledge of every subject, making it easier to have a good grasp on the subjects.
Montage, the annual cultural fest of jmc is great, giving us 2 full days of enjoyment and exposure.
!but it's good because we have to write in a very short and beautiful way!

Dislikes

Annual cultural fest is not as good as other du colleges
No air conditioner- there are no air conditioners in classrooms except in the library and the lab, however at such a low fee structure you cannot expect air conditioned classrooms
The library staffs are rude in nature and students find it difficult to communicate with them.

Experience at JMC (DU)

Likes

Infrastructure of the college is much appreciatwd and they are properly maimtained by the college board. Almost every things are taken into consideration and timely improvement is done.
There are 2 amphitheatres for cultural activities and other society events.
Last years JMC fest was so vibrant and colorful. Every year they organise it with greta no. of footfall.

Dislikes

Canteen area is bit small which can accomodate barely 50 students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum under NEP has become very hectic. Now along with 4 core papers students has to appera also for Ability Enhancement Coure Paper, Skill Enhancement Course Paper and Value Addition Course paper.

JMC- Brief Guide

Likes

College Campus is very green, serene and spacious. With lush green gardens, highly maintained grounds and pitches. Clean environment, fresh air
Faculty is fairly good. The department of Commerce faculty are exceptional, the teaching methods are not monotonous, it's engaging, friendly and motivating
The crowd at JMC is mixed, but if you are able to find your group, then the experience can be very rewarding. JMC is filled with talented individuals, in fields of dance, music, arts, scholastic, etc. You get to learn a lot and have fun

Dislikes

There are a lot of restrictions for college fests. Artist lineup is not good from the past 2 years. Overall scope of fest at JMC are very limited and stringent
Systems at the computer labs are slow, and outdated. We face a lot of difficulty operating them sometimes.
The washrooms are sometimes not clean, which is partly the fault of students as well. Some students do not follow basic hygiene and cleanliness.

Placement Experience:

From Semester 5 onwards, students are eligible to sit for placements. Name of companies visited include Bain, Godrej, Deloitte, KPMG, Youth India, Accenture etc. Highest package offered was by Bain company, 14 lakhs CTC. Usually Commerce students, especially Bcom Hons students have an upper hand at placements. Upto 50% of the batch gets placed. I'm planning to sit for the 4th year in Bcom Hons, and appear for the placement drive. My aim is to work after degree, and then pursue masters. DU has offeredus the option to indulge in specialised research in 4th year, and sit for placements simultaneously, enhancing our CV

My college is basically a girls college so boys will not come at that semester time

Dislikes

No annual function will held at that semester time so activities no fresher's party will held

Course Curriculum Overview:

Exam timing is too short for us many of the students will not complete the exam at time. I'll suggest the improvement area is that make sure the students will comfortable in curriculum academic syllabus so that they will gain the knowledge nd achievements

The Power of Jesus and Marry College

Teacher are amazing and very corporatative
Principles and other staff helping nature
Management and other facilities available all time

Dislikes

Some time some teachers are behaving rude and doing mistake to given wrong marks to students it's not good for students, students face both side difficulties parents and teachers and society because when result not good which is fault by technicale
In this year when result come 3rd and 4th semester it's all students bad results
When students ask by teachers, teacher say it is not our fault

The course are amazing and subject also good which is used in office and job and other couse related work and amazing to learn teacher is good so understanding easyely and give test and rivision by students.

Simple college life in JMC

Likes

The college architecture is amazing loved it
Teachers are very humble and gentle with everybody
It is not a Co-ed college it is only for girls

Course Curriculum Overview:

The cirriculum that led me to choose this course was that I loved history it was easy for me to understand and I am very much interested in it Honestly nothing can prepare you for the real world you live struggle and you will get stable eventually and evolve with your experiences I skipped for some time not I want to do my masters

Likes

Environment of the college is great. Since its a girl college people often have a misconception that it would be toxic but people are really helpful.
Campus is very beautiful of the college. Its like u really entered a girls college with all the aesthetics. People here keep the campus clean as well.
Library is spacious and is really big. Its well maintained and built.

Dislikes

There are no mirrors in the college. Its really a dearth as its a girl college.
The timetable is very strict. Its not like other DU colleges which doesnt care about classes.
Fests here are not much of worth as they have low budgets but lets hope for a good experience in future.

Course Curriculum Overview:

So the course structure is aimed at creating a strong base right now. In first sem i have IIIPT, CNI and understanding pol theory. There are IAs and CAs which keep the teaching pattern interactive. So there's nothing much.

JMC-the underrated South Campus College

Likes

The faculty is very experienced. They are empathetic as well. There are remedials and tutorials for students additionally to clear their doubts. and the way of teaching is very enhanced
The campus is full of greenery, neat and beautiful. one of the most beautiful campus of Delhi University. It has open gyms and flora, fauna that makes you feel good

Dislikes

Maybe a co ed college would have helped on holistic development of the child

placement is good . there's a placement cell thag offers internship opportunities regularly. Average package is around 15,000 /month.while highest goes around 47560/month for bachelors. For BCom student the chances of getting places in companies like Deloitte are highly

Supportive professor, they help the students with any sort of difficulties
Good infrastructure such as canteen, sports ground with good batting wickets and equipments
Location is perfect as it's within 1km from metro and connectivity is nice

Dislikes

Attendance issue as teachers would complain about attendance even if I'm a sports student
They would give preference to Christian students
I think food was a bit expensive as compared to other colleges

My college

Likes

The campus is beautiful, with big grounds, an auditorium as well as 3 floor library
The library had a great collection of books spanning from academic to non academic.
The educational curriculum was extensive but very relevant.

Dislikes

The schedules were too far apart, we ended up spending long breaks in between classes in the library.
The canteen could have been bigger to accommodate the large crowd.

Placement Experience:

The college makes available placement opportunities for students through the place com which works extensively to bring good companies on campus. Some companies like deloit Genpact EY ditto etc come to the campus to higher students. Profiles offered range from business development to other profiles related to relevant courses.

JMC College - Pros and Cons

Likes

The environment is great and the nature is nice.
The people here are also pretty good natured and very understanding and cooperative.
The societies are quite interactive and provide great opportunities to us.

Dislikes

It's an only girls college and we do not get as good exposure as we could've got in a co ed college.
The food here in canteen is sometimes stale and inedible.
It is also extremely crowded with insects because of extreme nature here.

Placement Experience:

Yes our college does give placement but one needs to find it by herself as well because they are addequate at best. We should find by ourself. Highest package is 120000 average is 60000. And it's not enough so one must do it on their own as well.
