ST Xavier's Kolkata Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Bcom was the field in which I was interested at l, as it has almost the same curriculum as that of CA which I m pursuing right now. Faculties here are highly qualified, with most of them are itself the pass out of Xavier's.

From semester 5 students become eligible for campus placements. Various big companies and MNCs like PWC, Deloitte etc. come for offering placements to our students and make relevant offers. The highest package offered was 20lakhs p.a. and the average package offered is around 4lakhs p.a. 20-40%of students that have applied get placed during the placements. My plans after getting the degree are to enter the corporate world to gain experience for some time and then go for MBA.

The students get placements from the end of their fifth semester. Various companies gather together to provide opportunities and recruit various students from all domains and departments. The percentage of students getting placed is around 75-80%

6th-semester students bcom eligible for the campus placements Big 4s, Tata, Mahindra and many companies They offer around 600000 p.a. Around 20% of students get their on-campus placements I'm planning to do MBA after completing my B.com and at the same time will try for the on-campus placement

This course is a finance-related course and thus I choose it. The student-faculty ratio is good. Around 1:50. The qualifications of the teachers are impressive PHD and CAs. The last exams were held in May.

From the 5th semester students become ready for placement. In the year 2022-23, the highest package offered was 10lpa and the average package is around 6-7lpa. After getting the degree a student can either go for a job, MBA or any professional course like CA, CS, or CMA.

I have an inclination for learning about business and also it aligns with my career goals and aspirations. The faculty to students ratio is healthy with interactive discussion possible with the faculty on an individual basis both within and outside the class. The faculty are highly qualified with some of them having post graduation in their area of specialization. The teaching style varies with the teacher but however, each one is student-friendly. The assessment is very regular and we have the exams going in various forms such as CIAs, classroom seminars, and semester exams.

I chose this course because I'm pursuing CA. Student to faculty ratio is 1:60, Every faculty member has completed their master's or Ph.D. in their respective fields. Exams were conducted twice a year with two extra internal exams.

A student has placement chances from the very first year. They can register in the college placement cell and can get placements in various companies as far as their choice. In the 3rd year, we have to do a minimum 2 months of internship.

I choose bcom hons because I am pursuing CA along with that and this course will help in that as well. the ratio of boys is very less as compared to girls. the teachers are very knowledgeable and so the teaching process is smooth. the term exams are taken timely and the papers are tough also so only deserving students can pass.
