The course like i said isn't that great, it will just be like a piece of paper which depicts your credibility of employment, nothing else. You'll have to learn the skills by yourself which will benefit you. Otherwise the whole course is theory, and gives you basic aspects of management. Though the last 2 semesters are really important, since those subjects will be the main ones that you'll ever benefit from in your future.

It conducted several carrier counseling and seminars and workshops which helps students to make right choice in future and enhance their knowledge. In my batch we didn't have major in subjects .we were told that there will be major subject in 3rd year but there was not .Later they said that in honours there is no one particular subject to be major and all main subjects are considered major subject.

Gauhati Commerce College provides a good internship and placement opportunities for the students.During the 5th and 6th semester , a good number of companies approach the college for fresh graduates. Students have to attend internship classes of the companies and give online interviews to get access for the placements and jobs. Some of the companies which have approached the college are - Federal Bank , Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) , Acmegrade Classes , Tata Strive etc .

Several companies such as Godrej and TCS came to the University to conduct college placements. I even appeared for the TCS manager exam and hope to land that job. Along with this, I also got selected at Godrej as an sales executive

From the final semester students become eligible for campus placement. This year (2024) almost 6 companies visited our college for recruitment. The top companies were Godrej, TCS, Federal Bank and many more. The highest package offered is 3.5-4LPA

Students can get placements after 4th semester. Many different commercial and government companies visits there. About 50% of students can get placements in different companies. I prefer to take Banking courses.

The course is very exciting learning so e new stuff which you never heard before because commerce subjects are not common subjects no one have studied commerce subjects in 10 but after that we use to learn about commerce. And the course curriculum is very easy to understand and exciting

The subjects are quite interesting and good. Exams are held twice in five months. They are held under the vigilance of excellent faculty. The curriculum included in the course prepares students to compete in the real world and build a good personality.

The course is very good... So many things I learned from it.. But it could be better.... Some of the topics in our syllabus is not very important... And various important topics is not in our syllabus..
