Likes

They treat us well and also they give their best in teaching so that we can understand the topics easily.
Students studying in our institution can opt for scholarships and get the chance to study with minimum or free admission.
Also on the other hand , various entertainment programs and activities were also held so that the students can participate in them as well as enjoy the college life.

Dislikes

The area is very commercial so it can be a bit chaotic at times. Also, there's a lot of traffic jam
I disliked nothing there, those were my golden days in that institute.
Campus food menu is not likeable to everyone

My experiences in GCC

Likes

I like the way students are friendly with every one in their first meet.
Secondly in our group discussion competition all the members are very helpful to each other
The teachers are very helpfull , they agree to take class even there is one or two student in the class.

Dislikes

There is nothing that i dislike about my collage

Gauhati commerce collage provides the best course in bachelor of commerce (b com) and I actually love how the faculty members helps us prepare our notes . I would like to rate 10 by 10 from my preference.

Likes

The college canteen is good but need to be improved.
The campus is good and the students are polite and well discipline
The teachers are good and they teaches well.

Dislikes

There is no ground to play open games so it should be improved.
The infrastructure is not so good it must be good as a well known college.
There computer lab is not good it should be improved.

To come in the market i have choose the commerce stream and for this i have choose bcom in my college to compete in the real world and I would like to start my business in the future so i have choose this coure .

Honest opinion on Gauhati Commerce College

Likes

Fee structure is very less. Quality of faculty is also very good.
Overall quality of education provided is also very nice

Dislikes

Campus life is absent and the quality of campus is very poor

Fee structure and the location of the college plus the brand name of the college influenced me to choose it Not that well as it is basically theoretical knowledge More practical knowledge should be provided The exam frequency is good and the difficulty level is also moderate

Balancing Expectations: Realistic college review

Likes

Gender Ratio: The student population had a balanced 1:1 ratio of boys and girls. Although there was some indirect segregation
Few good teachers: Some faculty members were supportive and knowledgeable. Their positive teaching methods stood out
Basic Campus Amenities: The college had the essential infrastructure, such as AC in a few classrooms. Although nothing particular stood out

Dislikes

Outdated infrastructure: Classrooms had old benches and desks and labs were equipped with outdated computers. Heavy rains caused leaks in some areas.
Minimal Faculty Support: Many teachers were rude and there was a lack of academic and personal support.
Poor Placement Services: The placement support was ineffective with mediocre workshops and nothing that helped in genuine career advancement.

I didn't research the course much before joining so I can't comment on its specific aspects that influenced my decision. It needs more up-to-date information a. t it was difficult to keep up with assignments and the overall difficulty was moderate.

Average commerce student

Likes

The classes are quotes large and spacious and there are acs in almost all the classrooms
The college has a very big and nice library with variety of books to read from
The college campus is very clean overall and the sanitation facilities are neat and clean too

Dislikes

Most of the events happen in college so many classes get cancelled
The college is a bit far from my home so i have to leave very early to reach college in time
The college is in a flood prone area so whenever it rains heavily the surroundings get flooded which makes it very difficult to travel

Course Curriculum Overview:

I opted this course as i want to appear for government exams after i complete my bachelor's degree over-all the course is good but the college should provide more intership opportunities and real life experiences than just theoretical knowledge

Likes

Faculty expertise and teaching methods are overall good
I like the environment of my college its auditorium is big

Dislikes

Its infrastructure is lagging behind it needs to be improved
No playground or field for students for which we cannot do anything in our recess time

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very good. As i am studying Bcom it is very helpful to understand the business or market world or companies how to make a product to understand a product from various aspects including pros and cons. Overall theory is the traditional method some practical methods should be applied to make it more realistic to business world which will enhance ones vision towards business world.

My experience in gauhati commerce College

Likes

The environment of the college is very good
My engagement with the college campus is very good
Teaching methods are quite good and the teacher are friendly

Dislikes

Late night shows are not allowed that's I don't like it
Drinking water facilities are poor only one water purifier is set up to drink water
In the rainy days the college become completely flooded

The teaching methods should be improved a little bit because some of the students can't able to understand what the teacher is teaching and the teacher should do little funny things in between the class so the students can get comfortable with the teacher and able to understand quickly what the teacher is teaching

Gauhati Commerce College in a nutshell

Likes

The teachers are very knowledgeable and crisp and crystal clear explain of the various topics
Both sessional exams and internal exams are conducted timely and efficiently
There is a good girls to boys ratio in the course i’m doing and the college in general. The girls in our college also compete for various in college elections

Dislikes

Infrastructure of the college needs to improvement
Placement is the big issue here and also there is no guidance for internships
Bathroom are always dirty so it needs to be cleaned

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.com gives a holistic overview of the stream i.e, commerce. It also opens door to many opportunities I guess. I'm the first batch of NEP where more importance has been given to vocational education, but I guess it is still not upto mark. Even now more emphasis is given on theory but it will change with time. They should give more emphasis on real world applications and internships etc. Exams are conducted on time.

The life of gcc

Likes

Seniors and faculty are supportive, crowd is good
It holds ac classes as wells, altough weather is suitable Here but ac act as a life saviour in summer days
Cultural events happens with very enthusiasm

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not so good as a category colleges but it's decent
Ground is on repair and lack of basketball court

GCC honest review

Likes

The one thing that I appreciate the most is that this college is filled with knowledge and experience in the categories I m interested.
The social interaction of the college is quite good as we engage ourselves in events and field trips.
The teachers are very experienced and clear when they are explaining a subject and the notes that they give is also very effective.

Dislikes

I think our college lacks one thing and that campus recruitment which is very necessary nowadays since it’s hard to find a job immediately after leaving the college so there should associations of companies with our college.
The rest room for the students can be cleaner and the building is little bit old.
The course is very relevant and thorough but the finishing of the syllabus is a bit slow.

I rate my course a 9 out of 10 as I am quite interested in commerce and accounts. The major aspect behind choosing this course is that I always wanted to do something in finance or accounts and this course helps me with that It prepares us very well for the real world There can be more digital learning in our class The timing and frequency are quite accurate and decent it doesn't overlap with any other exam
