Likes

They treat us well and also they give their best in teaching so that we can understand the topics easily.
Students studying in our institution can opt for scholarships and get the chance to study with minimum or free admission.
Also on the other hand , various entertainment programs and activities were also held so that the students can participate in them as well as enjoy the college life.

Dislikes

The area is very commercial so it can be a bit chaotic at times. Also, there's a lot of traffic jam
I disliked nothing there, those were my golden days in that institute.
Campus food menu is not likeable to everyone

Guahati commerce college, the gem of Northeast

Likes

Professors are very good to me. They help us very much in our studies
Overall infrastructure was very good. Gym facilities, sports, canteen and all such facilities were provided to the students

Dislikes

Parking Facilities are not good Enough.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The courses they provide are very good for the students. The institution provides a platform for hs in commerce and also bcom and Mcom. Other than that they also provide BBA and MBA courses where the students get the chance for placement from the college itself

I had in mind to take this course ...so I took it after my boards exam.... It helped me a lot in knowing more about the commerce sector and many more.... It also makes you know regarding the stock market and mutual fund etc....

Experience in GCC

Likes

Teachers are very friendly, they try their best to teach us and to clear our doubts. They report in the class at correct time.
The environment of our college is very good, there is greenery everywhere in the college and the college campus is neat and clean.
The college hve all the essential facilities like water supply, toilet, playground canteen etc.

Dislikes

There is no girl's hostel in our college. There must be a hostel for girls.
Our auditorium is required to be advanced. Our auditorium is very old school, there is requirement of upgrade
Our playground is not well maintained. The playground is very dusty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course carriculum is very much related to the practical world. Along with the theoritical knowledge, it also gives the knowledge of practical field. It give us a lump sum idea of how a task is happen practically. The courses does not include unnecessary interpretations.

Highlights of GCC

Likes

The ambience of the college is pretty decent and friendly. The college environment is very eco friendly. The teachers are very supportive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very captivating. The course that i have opted for definitely gives me the chance to connect to the rules of the practical world. The ways of accountings, studying about the business, economics. All of these provide an insight about the world. I do not really have any complains about the teaching methods but a digitalised method of teaching would be more interesting i guess

My Review on Gauhati Commerce College

One thing which is appreciable about this college is the campus itself. It's quite cleaner compared to other colleges. It's nice to see that the students, faculty members and other staffs actually do care about cleanliness
The college environment is actually good. Be it the academic environment, sports, cultural events, etc., You'll actually feel that yes! I can actually spend a good amount of time in these 3 to 5 or more years.
The faculty members and office staffs are quite good though negligent sometimes. There are teachers or professors who'll actually guide you towards achieving your future goals and all, obviously if you ask or seek for help.

Dislikes

One problem which every student has faced atleast once in their college life is the waterlogging or mini floods that occur inside the college and the college boys hostel during monsoon season.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Com is a basic degree in the field of commerce which allows you to acquire knowledge regarding various subjects related to business and corporate sectors. It provides you a foundation if you are willing to open a business in future or go in the corporate sector or any other sector. The curriculum is mostly theory based so basically it will give you a good foundation or knowledge regarding how to deal with certain situations if they occur. But in the practical world, you need to apply those knowledge along with acquiring other skills if you want to make yourself marketable. So a more practical based approach can be adopted to make the students ready for the real world. Due to the semester system, the frequency of examinations, assignments, etc. is high though the difficulty level is not as high.

My takes on Northeast's most renowned Commerce College.

Likes

conducting of exams and declaration of results on time is something i like about this college...also allocation of events without harming the academic timing is well planned.
I like the facilties it provides like gymnasium , hostel and library which are maintained and operated quite decently.
The events organised by the college Are quite exciting and it really Ensures a good social life for student. Faculties at decent and classes are well conducted on time.

Dislikes

I really dont like the language barrier some teachers uses a very hard and fast accent of assamese which becomes dufficult for students who is not familiar with the language.
The infrastructure of the college can be improved as there are holes in the ceiling and also the ac's doesnt work properly
The sports ground can be improves both for outdoor and indoor and can be managed properly as the college football ground also the water logging inside college campus during monsson can be improved.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is designed decently for a bachelor of commerce degree and it covers almlost every aspects related to commerce . But it definitely lacks its ability to prepare a student for real wolrd applications as it focuses more on the theory part which is something needed to be improved . Students should be made practically skilled by adopting some different techniques or by changibg the curriculum by making it more practically inclined.The frequency and timing of exam is well planned and executed and the difficulty level is moderate giving room for every students to pass the examination while also taking strict actions on students using unfair means

Gauhati commerce College right choice for carrier development

Likes

The college environment is good and the seniors are well behaved but the toilets need to be cleaner
I spend good time in the college campus everyone are friendly and well behaved
The teachers put a good effort in attending every class as they teach even if there is only one student in the classroom

Dislikes

Toilets need to be cleaner as they are very dirty

GCC - a saviour for the students

Likes

Students are free from academic pressure.
The teachers are quite understanding and helpful when it comes to our accademics.
All the students live in peace and harmony as there is no bullying in the campus.

Dislikes

There is no practical knowledge available
Lack of opportunities for internship this keeps us deprived of many opportunities.
The students get very less time to prepare themselves for the examination.

As I was from the commerce background this course seemed pretty familiar to me which made me choose this course. This course will help me in knowing every specific details that I need in future for my upbringing and growth.

I like the college campus because there are many things to explore
I liked the Faculty members and HOD because they are so cooperative
I like the canteen because some students like us who stay in PG don't get good breakfast so we get to eat better in college canteen

Dislikes

I dislike because there is no basketball court for girls , we girls too want to play games
I dislike the toilet in college because they are so dirty and not cleaned regularly
I dislike some teachers attitudes sometimes

I choosed the course Bachelor of commerce because I had the aim of becoming company secretary.In these course the tutors teaches personal branding by giving presentation,group discussions ,etc. I would suggest teachers to be more friendly with sudents .

Best college for commerce in north east

Likes

There is no bullying by any senior, seniors are friendly
We get many holidays and there is no academic pressure
Teachers are friendly and willing to solve our doubts

Dislikes

There is no field where we can sit during break
There is not much practical knowledge given
There is nothing else i dislike about gauhati commerce college

I am Currently in second sem, from third sem internship will be provided which is included in the FYUGP NEP course. We have 2 exams in 1 semester, one sessional and the final exam. Other internal exams like quiz, presentation is also held and home assignment is also included
