Our college conducts functions on the occasions of special festivals very enthusiastically and they are good to go in and enjoy.
The college should work on placements but there are opportunities for scholarships if you score great on your exams
1] some aspects like my interest in the field of accounting attracts me the most to choose this curriculum 2] i learned many new things in this course especially in the accounting field like tally course.

Dislikes

I am disappointed because their placement cell is unorganised and it?? difficult to find a job after complete degree in SGGS college.
I would not recommend anyone to seeking a quality education.
The college focus more theory than the practical skills, leaving people for unprepared for real word.

The teachers are well educated and have different styles of teaching as well which helps a lot to learn things better way as a bcom student we have 6 or 7 subjects and have exams in every 5 months so it difficult to learn but the teacher make it easy
The commerce department is good for the first year students it is the best in whole Sggs college well maintained and cleaned ..the toilet is neat the benches are not trash it is of good quality which make a good environment for studying in classes ..
The canteen is good of college it is big have fans and have a good place to sit and have things to eat but it can be better the menu of the canteen should be more good as like pggc 46 an 11 or any pu campus

Dislikes

I think that there can be improvement in the topic of infrastructure of the college campus . It can be extended and some things can be added to make it more attractive for students it is a big college but should also have things to explore as well
Social interactions can be made more by arranging some seminars and webinars in the campus. Students can interact with one another and try to look people who are ambitious as they are .. but there is only fights and people making reels for Instagra
There should be parking faculty as well in college and should not charge like 6 rupees for helmet 6 rupees for bike it can be like 6 rupees for bike with helmet and the keeper of parking is not good in talking as well and the security guard is drunk

The teaching in not bad in this college every teacher is well educated and have there own method of teaching which makes it more fun to learn all teachers are very kind and good hearted ya some teachers can be rude but as a teachers u have to be strict as well The teaching is good but they don't prepare u for the interviews or any special exams they will teach u only what is in course not what outer world wants .. no special activity so we can learn anything new or some productive learning can be happen . They should have more webinars and seminars to improve the social skills of a student how to speak I. Good manner and other main things as well it will help students a lot to learn new things in that department and he or she can be confident in every way possible . BCom has 6 or 7 subjects so in summer exam there is four Month only jan feb march April and in may there is exam as in December we already have given exams so we only have 4 months to other exams so it should be improved for better results ..

All about my campus life and college

Likes

Well mannered students and staffs, teaching experience is much batter then other colleges,
They have big playground and basketball court and tennis court and a sports room with indoor games such as table tennis and carrom and chess etc.
They have some awesome classrooms and canteen is so good and my college has an nescafe where all students were present after lectures

Dislikes

The dont have cleanliness in wahsroom and their canteen looks like some random street vendors places.
Study is not necessary for students and for teachers also
They all prefer to go to the ground more than class room.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is much better then other courses beacuse if you choose bca you have to read atleast 4 to 5 hours a day. Beacuse if you dont able to read do not choose bca please... Bca has a great future in software engineering

Review of SGGS College Sector-26, Chandigarh by a first sem student (Honest review)

First thing is the college campus, It is huge. It has a huge play ground and area.
College has nescafe in it and canteen is also quite good like there is a variety of foods with resonable prices.
The labs are really nice, neat and clean and air conditioned with proper lighting.

Dislikes

There are only two fans in each class and one of them is on teachers head, for the students there is only one fan which does provide enough air for all students. While studying we experience sweat a lot. Like it’s already hot outside, we need air.
Washrooms! They are not in a very good condition. Some of the wash basins are broken and some of the toilet seats too. There are less water coolers.
Classes are not that good like it’s old and it doesn’t feel good sitting in them.

Placement Experience:

I don't know much about the placements as I'm in first semester. I don't know which companies have visited here and how much offers they made. I don't know about the average package too. I'm sorry. But yes my plans? I know about them. I'm going to master my skills, I would be the best in our class. I'll top for sure and would get a great job.

All the teachers are good and their behaviour are outstanding, which i really appreciate. The security on campus is also very good.

Dislikes

Sometimes, the lectures don’t start on time. And then issue of attendance is occurred.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The timing of exams is like in the morning 9 to 12 pm or in the evening 2 to 5pm. That type of schedules are maintained every semester exams. The difficulty level is not high. All the exams are in a normal way so that every student understands.

The teachers are good, they are student friendly
The campus is also good looking, neat and clean

There is less competition as the college allows mediocre student to take admission
The student environment is not very good

I think the course curriculum is well made and there is no need to improve it further although I feel that for some subjects the exam syllabus is too much to be completed in 5 months of time so that subject's extra class can be taken

Bcom is good after doing bcom we have many scopes affer bcom one can do Mba or Mcom Or Ca , Cfa the subjects in bcom are financial accounting , economics, commercial law and as from 2024 NEP is implemeted

Professors are good (some). Friendly to interact with
This is a big college with ample space to sit around.
Offices work really well. Like they take care of things on their own on behalf of the students.

Dislikes

Canteen is very Unhygienic. Not enough options to eat.
Infrastructure is poorly maintained. Student desks, blackboard are broken
Washrooms are not cleaned properly. Unhygienic

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i have said before here teachers dont care about a student's academic performance. I have heard from my seniors that difficulty level of Bba subject exams are very high. They don't really prepare you for the real world they just care about their fees. They don't placements as such rarely a student gets placed. I took admission here because of the attendance leniency. Teachers here are very lazy they dont come and teach. Everyday 1-2 lecture teachers dont take their classes. Improvements they can have is care a bit more about the academic performance of students

COLLEGE LIFE IS GOLDEN LIFE FOR STUDENTS..

Likes

Our college is best in many fields such as easy admission process and sports as well.
My campus life is good and my friends make it amazing with so many memories with them.
Faculty is well educated with good temperament,easy teaching methods and with real life examples.

Dislikes

But there is less chances and lack of mentorship skills in our faculty members
Infrastructure is good but need some improvement in upcomimg times and most importantly needs to improve the food quality.
Rare chances of placements are there in our college and advancements chances are low

1] Some aspects like my interest in the field of accounting attracts me the most to choose this curriculum 2] I learned many new things in this course especially in the accounting field like tally course. 3] There needs to be room of space for the improvement in the curriculum. 4] There is two types of exams like Mid semester exams then the final exams and to be fair it is very easy if a student daily join classes can get good marks or can top easily.

I’m absolutely delighted with my experience in SGGS college , the college offer varies opportunity in undergraduate and postgraduate programs and I am impressed by the quality of the education and expertise of the faculty.
I am satisfied with my college it a great place to learn and start a career.
The campus infrastructure is excellent and atmosphere is conductive to learning.

The college offer a range of course that are relevant to the industry and the job market. Students report that their theory is nice but just focus and need to start practical skills. But they prepare us for real world. The curriculum cover wide range of topics and subjects cover , provide students a comprehensive understanding of their field. I appreciate the placement desk of our college. It helps the children to engage more in co-curricular activities as well as academics so that they can achieve heights. The college gives us a platform to showcase our abilities.
The teaching staff is commendable. The way they teach with the help of required equipment, labs , machines and books are appreciable. They go through each topic thoroughly so that it's easily understandable.
My course is computer science and i would say my college and this course has helped me grow so much as an individual that I can't describe it . My communication skills are top notch

Dislikes
