From the 5th semester of college, the companies start to visit the college for campus placements. Many hotels brands like ITC, Taj, Oberoi, Hilton, Hyatt etc come for the placement. The highest package offered is 400000 per annum and many management trainees are selected by the hotels Average package offered is 2,40,000.

We can go for job opportunities after course completion, as college will not provide any placements. The course tenure of diploma in food production is of 15 months in which 10 months classroom program and 5 months industrial training. The package totally depends upon our skills but roughly it varies from 1.5 lakhs to 3.5 lakhs per annum. My plans are very clear firstly I'll go for 5 Star hotel initially to gain experience then after 2 or 3 years I'll invest in food startup businesses.

From the 5th semester, students are eligible for the campus placement. there are so many companies like it grand Chola, taj, JW Marriott, Reliance, Starbucks, Arvind fashion, Aditya Birla fashion group, etc. there are different pay scale according to the position of the job and the location of the job. Approx 80 %of the students get their placement.

Placements are offered from the 5th semester. Both hotels and retail outlets come for an interview. I'm not sure about the exact packages offered as I'm in 2nd yr. But it ranges from Rs15, 000 to Rs 40,000. But still, it depends on your skills and the level you are getting selected(OT or MT).

I was interested in hospitality industry. College provides knowledge,experience and the placements are also good. The bad thing is that it is too strict for girls.I got my college through NCHMCT JEE exam. One can search about the college in ihmchennai.com

I chose this college based on the face value, IHM has been here for a very long time and has a good reputation among Hotel management colleges. The staffs are very knowledgeable and have good experience in their field of expertise. This college promises 100% placement for all UG students great number of companies come for placement companies coming in to recruit is not limited to hotels and catering companies but other companies which requires marketing executives. Something very interesting in this course is the 4 month industrial training the students go through, the students are recruited by hotels and if you're performance is good there then there's a good chance of you getting placed in that hotel chain's property.

In third year and 5th semmater of B.SC campus interview are started. So you no need to worry about the placement. But u have to be worthy for that. They are having lot of contacts because its a central government college so no worries.

This college was based in chennai and initially I was not that good in communication. Also the placements were pretty good and it always saw a placement of 100%, so I had high hopes from this college for my career.

Overall I can say that you learn lots of thiny from the college.how to manage guest.patience and the communication skills.
