The average salary of an engineer in India is INR 4.10 LPA which however might vary as per the specialization pursued. While Civil Engineers can earn an average salary of INR 3.60 LPA, the average salary of a Computer Engineer, Biomedical Engineer, or Production Engineer is INR 5.56 LPA, 4.32 LPA, and 3.35 LPA respectively. The highest salary of an Engineer who has specialized in Computer Engineering is 37 LPA and in certain cases even above.
