Tamil Nadu MTech Admission is done based on a state-level entrance exam. Candidates can either qualify for the GATE exam or qualify for the CEETA PG exam for admission to the MTech course in Tamil Nadu. Anna University conducts the Tamil Nadu MTech Admissions based on a valid CEETA PG 2025 score. CEETA PG is conducted on March 23, 2025.

MTech is a 2-year degree course, where students learn advanced methodologies and concepts about a particular subject. In a few top institutions, students also submit dissertations and research work as a part of their coursework. Candidates can also use their GATE scores for Tamil Nadu MTech Admission. Tamil Nadu MTech Eligibility Criteria 2025

The Tamil Nadu MTech Eligibility Criteria is listed below for candidates who wish to apply for Tamil Nadu MTech Admission 2025.

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed an undergraduate degree preferably BE or BTech from a recognized university.
  • Entrance Exam: Candidates must have a valid score in CEETA PG (earlier TANCET) or GATE.
  • Domicile/Nationality: All Indian candidates are eligible for admission to MTech courses in Tamil Nadu. They may or may not be permanent residents of the state of Tamil Nadu.
  • Age Limit: There is no age limit for admission into the MTech course in Tamil Nadu.

The duration of course usually lasts for 2 to 3 years depending on your subject and the pace at which you can complete the course.
