BSEB to Conduct Separate Compartmental and Special Exams for Class 12 Students

New Delhi: The chairman of the Bihar School Education Board (BSEB), Anand Kishore, announced that the board will conduct the compartmental and special exams separately. He announced while releasing the BSEB Class 12 Intermediate results in 2024

He clarified that the word “compartmental” will not be included in the marksheets of students appearing in the special exams. The BSEB class 12th correction application will be accessible from March 28, 2024. Candidates dissatisfied with the marks they obtained in the BSEB Inter results may submit their objections, re-count marks, and verify marks through the official website: biharboardonline.com.

BSEB conducts compartmental-cum-special exams yearly for students who wish to improve their scores. Students who have failed and those who wish to increase their marks can appear in the BSEB compartmental-cum-special exams. However, this year, the board will conduct separate exams for compartmentalisation and improvement.

The chairman also clarified that the board will declare the results of compartmental and special exams 2024 by May this year so that students can easily apply for higher studies. The word ‘Compartmental’ will also not be mentioned on the mark sheet of candidates who have appeared in the special exam.

BSEB is the first board to release Class 12 results within 39 days after the exams concluded, with this, the Bihar Board marks its efficient assessment process. With 87.21% overall pass percentage. 

According to the Bihar Board 12th Inter results of 2024, in the arts stream, 87,859 students failed, while in commerce, the number stood at 2,029. In the science stream, 75,326 students and 31 students failed in the vocational stream.
