Central University of Odisha Opens PhD Admission 2024-25; Apply by January 5

Central University of Odisha (CUO), Koraput is inviting applications for the PhD programme for 2024-25. The list of candidates shortlisted for the interview will be published on January 17, 2025, on the university website.

CUO PhD Admission 2024-25 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates having any of the following qualifications are eligible for PhD admission.

• 1-year master's degree after a 4-year bachelor’s degree or a 2-year master’s degree after a 3-year bachelor’s degree with at least 55% marks.
• 4-year bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 75% marks.
• M.Phil. programme with at least 55% marks
• Relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/Differently Abled

CUO PhD Admission 2024-25 Selection Process

• Candidates with JRF will be selected based on the interview.
• For candidates without JRF, 70% weightage will be for NET scores and 30% weightage for the interview.
• The admission will be based on the combined merit of NET marks and the marks obtained in the interview/viva voce.

CUO PhD Admission 2024-25 Reservation

Candidates have to pay the application fee (non-refundable) of INR 1000 at the admission portal.

The duration of the PhD programme at CUO (Central University of Odisha) will be a minimum of 3 years, including coursework, and a maximum of 6 years. Female and PwD PhD scholars will be allowed a duration of a maximum of 10 years from the date of admission.
