CET Cell has released exam day instructions for the candidates. Candidates are advised to read the rules and regulations properly through the link provided below.

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has notified detailed rules and regulations governing malpractices, misconduct and unfair means on exam day for candidates appearing in Maharashtra CET Exams 2026. The purpose of the guidelines is to ensure transparency, fairness, and common conduct across all entrance tests conducted by the CET Cell in Maharashtra.
According to the official notification, strict disciplinary actions will be taken to prevent any form of unfair practice during the examination. Candidates are clearly prohibited from carrying unwanted items into the examination hall. These include electronic devices such as mobile phones, smart watches, calculators (unless specifically permitted), Bluetooth devices, or any communication equipment.

The CET Cell has emphasised that engaging in malpractice, including unauthorised written or printed material, copying or aiding in copying, Impersonation, transmission of question paper or content, possession of weapons or narcotics, misconduct with staff, mass copying, influencing officials, tampering with the admit card, use of AI cheating tools, or miscellaneous misconduct, is also strictly banned and will lead to a serious consequences.
Any attempt to disrupt the examination process or violate instructions issued by invigilators will also be treated as misconduct. Candidates should follow all rules and regulations issued by examination authorities and cooperate throughout the admission process.
Official Notification
To ensure fair examination, the Common Entrance Test Cell may implement verification procedures, including biometric authentication, document verification, and close monitoring of the candidates at exam centres. These measures will be taken to confirm candidate identity and detect any misconduct during the examination. Surveillance and inspection may be conducted before, during, and after the exam as required.
Furthermore, if candidates are found guilty of violating exam rules may face severe penalties. These can include immediate cancellation of the current examination, disqualification from future CET examinations, and other disciplinary or legal action as per applicable regulations. In serious cases, legal proceedings will be initiated against individuals involved in malpractice.
