COMEDK UGET 2026 Revised Eligibility Criteria

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has announced some major changes to the eligibility criteria for the COMEDK UGET 2026 for admission to undergraduate engineering programs. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website comedk.org.

COMEDK UGET 2025 is an entrance examination conducted to get admission into over 190 top-tier private engineering colleges in Karnataka. Candidates can check the COMEK UGET question papers 2024 and the COMEDK UGET Mock Test 2026 to improve their preparation.

COMEDK UGET 2026 Updated Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can check the updated changes in the eligibility criteria introduced in 2026.

To get admission into BE and BTech programs, candidates must have scored Physics, Chemistry (or Biotechnology or Biology or Computer Science or Electronics), Mathematics & English as compulsory subjects. Now, candidates who have Biotechnology or Biology or Computer Science or Electronics instead of Chemistry are eligible.
Students scoring zero (0) marks in the entrance test will not be assigned a rank. So, he/she will not be eligible for the counselling process.
Candidates must have passed in all subjects individually, including additional or optional subjects.

COMEDK UGET 2026 Complete Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) or Indian Citizens, or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) are eligible to appear in the COMEDK UGET 2026 examination.
Candidates must appear for the COMEDK UGET 2026 exam, which is scheduled for May 9, 2026.
Applicant must have scored a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry (or Biotechnology or Biology or Computer Science or Electronics), Mathematics & English as compulsory subjects.
Candidates will be eligible only if they have passed from a single board. Marks Cards from 2 different boards will not be accepted. For Example: A single candidate having a Marks card of Physics and Chemistry from the CBSE board and a Marks Card of Mathematics from the NIOS board is not eligible to apply for the COMEDK examination
Applicants holding a diploma are not eligible to sit in the COMEK UGET 2026 examination as no lateral entry accpeted. However, OCI and PIO candidates have to provide a declaration as per Annexure A mentioned in the Information Brochure.

COMEDK UGET 2026 Exam Key Highlights

According to the official notification, generally, COMEDK conducts its entrance examination on the second Sunday of May every year. However, due to a clash with other national-level examinations, the schedule has been revised.
