CUET UG 2023: 76% of candidates took part in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2023 on the first day. The Second Phase admit cards to Be Released Soon
New Delhi: According to University Grants Commission (UGC), Chief M Jagadesh Kumar, 76% of candidates took part in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2023 on the first day.
According to the data, 2,65,248 candidates appeared in all, with 87,879 showing up in shift 1, 87,903 in shift 2, and 89,466 in shift 3. In 271 cities and 447 centres, shift 1 took place, while in 272 cities and 448 centres, shift 2 was successfully concluded. In a total of 458 centres and 271 cities the third shift was held.
Mr. Kumar further stated that CUET UG 2023 Admit Cards will be made available by May 22, 2023, for exams scheduled for May 25 to May 28, 2023. The CUET UG City Intimation Slips 2023 for Exams scheduled for May 29 to June 2, 2023 will be issued on May 23.
The UGC Chairman added that in 2% of centres (or roughly 12 out of 450 today) there were some technological issues. Due to that, there was a delay in the commencement of CUET exam 2023, but it was nonetheless effectively administered. He also said that problems like power fluctuations in certain testing locations and overcrowding in others caused the exam to start late.
It was mentioned in the CUET UG 2023 admit cards to enter the center in a staggered manner. “But in a few centres, they arrived late, which caused crowding and a delay in the exam's start time. To prevent this kind of circumstance, we ask the pupils to arrive in waves. To avoid such circumstances in the future, we have now implemented administrative actions. To reduce traffic congestion around the city's centres, we have also enlisted the aid of the traffic police in numerous cities”, Kumar added.
UGC Chief further stated that at the exam locations, candidates were given access to basic comforts like water, refreshments, and covered waiting places for their parents or guardians.
