New Delhi: IISc Bangalore has extended the registration deadline for GATE 2024. Interested Candidates can now apply till October 12, 2023, without any late fees through the official website: gate2024.iisc.ac.in.
GATE is conducted every year by different hosting institutes. GATE 2024 will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Sciences, Bangalore. According to the schedule previously released by the institute, the GATE Registration Process would have been open till September 29, 2023. Earlier, the GATE 2024 Application Form was also deferred. Candidates who miss the deadline can apply with a late fee till October 13, 2023.
GATE Scores are used for seeking MTech Admission 2024 at various IITs, NITs, and IIITs. The GATE Exam is also accepted for PSU Recruitment at organizations like ONGC, NTPC, GAIL, HPCL, PGCIL, BHEL, BSNL, HPCL, etc. for entry-level positions.

Students can follow the below-mentioned steps to apply for GATE 2024:
- Go to the exam website and open the registration link.
- Register and get your login details.
- Now log in and fill out the application form.
- Upload documents and make payment of fee.
- Submit the form and save the final page.

Data Required While Filling the GATE 2024 Application Form
Here are the information that students need to keep in hand while filling up the online registration form for GATE 2024:
- Personal information (name, date of birth, personal mobile number, parent’s name, parent’s mobile number, etc.).
- The name of the candidate in the application form must be exactly the same as that in the valid photo ID, which the candidate MUST produce in original while appearing for the GATE-2024 examination at the centre.
- GATE 2024 scorecard will be issued as per the name entered in the application form.
- Prefixes/titles such as Mr / Shri / Dr / Mrs / Smt / Prof / Capt / Maj / Lt / Col / Er / Ar, etc. MUST NOT be used.
- Address for communication (including PIN code).
- Eligibility degree details.
- GATE paper(s) and the codes in which the candidate wishes to appear.
- THREE choices of GATE examination cities (from the same zone).

Documents Required for GATE 2024 Online Application
Below is the list of the documents that students will have to upload along with the filled up GATE 2024 application form:
- High-quality image of candidate’s photograph conforming to the requirements specified in the Information Brochure.
- High-quality image of candidate’s signature conforming to the requirements specified in the Information Brochure.
- Scanned copy of Category (SC/ST) certificate in pdf format (if applicable).
- Scanned copy of PwD Certificate in pdf format (if applicable).
- Scanned copy of Certificate of Dyslexia in pdf format (if applicable).
- Scanned copy of valid photo Identity document: Aadhar-UID (preferable)/ Passport/ PAN Card/ Voter ID/ Driving License.
- The photo ID must have Name, Date of birth of the candidate and unique photo ID number. This photo ID must be carried in original to the examination hall for verification.

IISc Bangalore has extended the last date to apply for GATE 2024 to October 12, 2023, without a late fee. However, the last date to apply for GATE with a late fee is October 20, 2023. The GATE 2024 exam is scheduled to be conducted on February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024, and the GATE 2024 admit cards will be issued on January 3, 2024.
As per the latest updates, GATE 2024 Registration date has been deferred by the IISc Bangalore. The GATE Application Form is now expected to be released on August 30, 2023, on the official website @gate2024.iisc.ac.in. Candidates nust note that the GATE Scores are valid for 3 years from the date of announcement of result for MTech admission. However, for recruitment for top PSUs, GATE scores are valid for a year only.

GATE 2024 will be conducted only in centres within India. It will NOT be conducted in centres outside India. Foreign nationals and Indian citizens residing abroad may appear for GATE 2024, by paying the full application fee (Rs. 1800 per test paper), but they must choose examination cities within India. They must make their own arrangements for travel and accommodation to appear for the exam at an assigned centre within India.
IISc Bangalore is expected to begin the online registration process for GATE 2024 from today, August 24, 2023. As of now no more further updates have been released by the institute
