The closing date of the GATE registration process is extended to October 11, 2024, up to 11:59 pm. Candidates willing to register for the exam during this time need to pay a late fee of INR 500. The application form for GATE 2025 with regular fees was available till October 3, 2024. The exam will be conducted on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025 by IIT Roorkee. The application form is available on the official website i.e. https://gate2025.iitr.ac.in/. Candidates can register online for the exam using the direct link provided below.
GATE 2025 Eligibility Criteria
To appear for this exam, candidates need to meet some eligibility criteria. Eligibility criteria are given below for your reference.
- Candidates with the Nationality of Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and the United Arab Emirates can apply for the GATE 2025 Exam
- Candidates can opt for MTech and Ph.D. programs offered by IISc and IITs.
- candidates currently in the third or higher year of their degree program are eligible to fill out the Application Form along with candidates who have already completed any government-approved degree program in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science / Commerce / Arts.
- For admission, candidates must qualify for a Bachelor’s Degree in the stream of Engineering or a Master’s Degree in a similar field.
- Candidates need to complete their courses with a duration of 3 years.
Note that the eligibility criteria for different undergraduate degrees are different for GATE so make sure you go through the GATE 2025 Eligibility.

To register for GATE 2025 exam candidates must follow the following steps.
- Visit the GATE official website i.e. https://gate2025.iitr.ac.in/.
- Click on the registration link on the home page
- Fill out the application form carefully by entering all the required details
- Upload scanned images and required documents
- Pay the application fee and submit the form after checking it carefully

GATE 2025 Registration Form Correction
After the conclusion of the GATE 2025 registration process, the exam authority will open the form correction window on November 5, 2024. In case of any error candidates can modify their application within a limited time. Modification fees are mentioned below.
