96.4% Students Clear Odisha Class 10 Board Exam

New Delhi: The Board of Secondary Education of Odisha has declared the Class 10th (Matriculation) results on May 18, 2023, with 96.4% of the students passing the test. The pass rate this year was higher than the pass rate from the previous year which was 90.55%.

In the presence of BSE President Ramashish Hazra, the BSE Odisha Class 10th Result 2023 was announced by Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Pramila Mallik at the BSE office in Cuttack.

In the BSE Odisha Class 10th 2023 exam this year, girls performed better than boys. The pass rate for female students was 97.05%, whereas the pass rate for male students was 95.75%. 4,158 students received A1 grade, 29,838 received A2 grade, 77,567 received B1 grade, and 11,8750 received B2 grade, according to Ms. Mallik.

The minister added that 2,254 girls scored above 90%, compared to 19,04 guys who received scores of 90% or above. The pass rate for SC candidates is 93.36% for boys and 95.08% for girls, who once again outperformed boys. Boys who belonged to the ST category had a pass rate of 92.75%, while girls had a pass rate of 95.66%.

According to the minister, 3,222 schools reported 100% results. The tribally predominant Malkangiri district posted the lowest pass rate at 92.68%, while Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur districts recorded the highest pass percentage of 97.99% in the state.

The BSE administrators stated that students can check their results by going to the school's website, i.e., bseodisha.ac.in. Students can also use their roll number and birthdate to log in to orissaresults.nic.in and check their results. The website also allows students to download their scoreboards. Additionally, students can receive their exam results through SMS. Students should input their Roll Number and submit the SMS to 5676750 to receive their results by SMS.

The annual High School Certificate (HSC) Summative Assessment-II examination 2023 took place at 3,218 testing locations throughout the state from March 10 to 20, 2023. The board had made the Summative Assessment I result public in January.
