Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has issued a notice to limit the online classes for 30-45 minutes only for higher standards. Read full details here.
Pragyata Guidelines state that the schools should follow not more than four sessions of 30 to 45 minutes each day for the higher classes including ICSE and ISC students.
Ministry of Education of the Centre, issued the notice for conducting the online teaching during the pandemic situation. The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) clearly directed that for classes 1-4, two online classes of 30-45 minutes each day will be conducted.
The nursery classes will have an interaction session for 30 minutes each day with the parents. Further the circular recommended to take a break for 10-15 minutes after each session every day.

The progress report released by the Education ministry suggested to limit the duration and number of classes conducted to ensure the mental and physical health of the students. The aim is to impart quality education through digital mode.
Schools were sent the circular stating that students must be aware not to continuously use the electronic gadgets and must include physical activity in their daily life. This was to ensure the fitness of the students.
Students were to be informed beforehand if there were any changes in the schedule for the classes to prepare the students accordingly. Moreover, webcam and smartphone are not operated except during online classes.
The Ministry of Education of the Centre further requested all the educational institutions to provide guidelines and counselling to the students about cyber safety and security in the Social Media.
