IIM Jammu Inks A Pact With IE University, Spain For Academic And Research Exchange; Check Details Here

New Delhi: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the IE University in Spain and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu. The MoU was signed by Ms. Maria-Eugenia Marin, Vice-Provost, Global Academic Partnerships and Alliances, IE University, Madrid, Spain, and Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu.

To strengthen IIM Jammu's global presence and promote the institution's reputation for excellence in teaching and research, Prof. B.S. Sahay joyfully announced the collaboration of IIM Jammu with IE University, Spain. This will be viewed as a success in assimilating the top research and teaching techniques from the world's top business schools. He claims that these partnerships are a crucial component of IIM Jammu's global initiatives and that they will also promote the development of learning, research, and cultural understanding as well as the reputation of both institution’s abroad through programmes for faculty and student exchange, executive education, and research.

India's economy is rapidly expanding, so this relationship presents a fantastic potential for both the Institutes and the country. The collaboration between IE University, Spain, and IIM Jammu is firmly grounded on a shared vision of the role of higher education institutions in developing global leaders equipped with an entrepreneurial mindset, a holistic perspective of the world, and a complete understanding of the importance of a life-long learning journey, Ms. Mara-Eugenia Marn, Vice-Provost, Global Academic Partnerships and Alliances, IE University, Spain, said in sharing her views.

The collaboration aims to promote improvement in teaching, cultural understanding, and the international reputations of both Institutions through the exchange of postgraduate students, faculty members, academic information and materials; the organisation of joint corporate training programmes, joint conferences, executive education programmes, joint research programmes, and other academic exchanges with the agreement of both institutes. Dr. Sarbjit Singh, Chairperson of International Relations, and Dr. Somu Gorai, Co-Chairperson of International Relations, both at IIM Jammu, organised the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding.
