IIM Mumbai (formerly NITIE) and Mumbai-based Logistics MNC Allcargo to organise the case study competition LogicOn to develop a management talent pool in India. LogicOn Grande Finale has been scheduled to be held at IIM Mumbai on November 1, 2023.
New Delhi: As per the latest updates, the Mumbai-based logistics MNC Allcargo has joined hands with the newly formed IIM Mumbai (formerly NITIE) to organise the case study competition LogicOn with the aim of developing a management talent pool in India.
As per IIM Mumbai, LogicOn offers first- and second-year students of MBA program an opportunity to transform their ideas into real-world logistical solutions. Winners will receive cash prizes as well as summer internships and pre-placement interviews with Allcargo's CXOs.
As of now, over 7,000 registrations have been received for the case study competition. The institute will organise the grand finale of LogicOn with MNC Allcargo at the IIM Mumbai campus on November 1, 2023.
Director of IIM Mumbai, Prof Manoj Tiwari shared that LogicOn's launch on IIM Mumbai's talent engagement and hiring portal Unstop attracted 1.5 million impressions and 7,000 registrations. "Over 70% of registrations have come from renowned tier-1 and tier-2 management institutions, including other IIMs, IMTs and NMIMS," he said.

Shashi Kiran Shetty, Chairman of the Board of Governors at IIM Mumbai, and Chairman and Founder of Allcargo Group said, “Logistics needs a rich talent pool, but isn’t able to attract the brightest, as it’s largely unorganised”.
Shashi Kiran Shetty shared that by 2020, the market of Logistics in India is expected to increase to $563 billion. In 2020, the market recorded a profit of $274 billion at a compound annual growth rate of 9.4%.
“The opportunity to learn and grow in the logistics industry is huge, and with LogicOn we will be able to attract and invest in bright talent who can be a part of our growth journey”, he further added.
