IIM Raipur, in collaboration with PRS Legislative Research, organized a training program for the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat Staff.

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur recently hosted a specialized training program for the staff of the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat. The program was conducted for three days, from July 18 to July 20, 2023, with Vidhan Sabha secretariat staff who came from different states of India.

IIM Raipur training program covers time and team management of the state budget, best practices of state legislators, and effective support to legislators. There are about 26 participants who attended the fourth batch of the training program from across the state of Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Nagaland, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh.

IIM Raipur Director Professor Ram Kumar Kakani shared his valuable insights and program vision during the opening ceremony. Professor Rashmi Shukla, director of the program, has taken sessions on time management and team development, among others.

Chakshu Roy and the PRS team conducted sessions covering various subjects, including budget understanding, efficient legislator support, and state legislator best practices. On the other hand, Professor Kamal K. Jain, Mentor Dean, delivered valuable comments at the program's conclusion. Participants lauded the program's high interactivity and information exchange, fostering a community of ongoing mutual learning.
