The Indian Institute of Management Ranchi and the Tata Steel Foundation collaborated by signing an MoU on September 15 to enhance social impact measures and research activities and facilitate knowledge sharing within Jharkhand.

New Delhi: On September 15, the Indian Institute of Management Ranchi and the Tata Steel Foundation partnered by signing an MoU. The primary objective of this collaboration is to enhance social impact measures and research activities and to facilitate knowledge sharing within the state of Jharkhand.

Dr. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, Director, IIM Ranchi, and Sourav Roy, CEO of Tata Steel Foundation, participated in the MoU signing ceremony. The MoU, signed by IIM Ranchi's strategic plan “IIM Ranchi@2030”, outlines several key objectives of both institutions committed to collaboratively achieving the following goals.

Co-design and co-facilitate courses, exposures, and immersive experiences for students of IIM Ranchi on social impact. The partnership enables students of IIM Ranchi to gain practical knowledge of the world of social impact with specially designed courses and experiences. It aims to equip participants with the skills and knowledge to drive positive societal change.

The collaboration also aims to create a regional think tank for Jharkhand, which sits at the intersection of research and policy practice. The partnership seeks to specify a vigorous think tank that will serve as a research and policy development hub, addressing pressing issues facing Jharkhand. This endeavor bridges the gap between academic research and real-world policy undertaking.

Bring out new knowledge, which shall feature in academic and other publications. IIM Ranchi and Tata Steel Foundation will work together to develop practical insights and expertise through joint research projects. The results of these endeavors will be shared through academic publications and other mediums, contributing to society.
