IIM Ranchi collaborates with the Lohardaga District Collector for a Management Development Program to equip Self Help Groups with marketing knowledge and skills under the "Niti Aayog Award Money Initiative".

New Delhi: IIM Ranchi has commenced a Management Development Program (MDP) focused on enhancing marketing skills, in partnership with the Lohardaga district collector.
According to the IIM Ranchi, the primary objective of this program is to equip representatives from Self Help Groups (SHGs) with crucial marketing expertise.
This MDP has been granted to IIM Ranchi through the "Niti Aayog Award Money initiative" by the Lohardaga district collector, Krishna Prasad Waghmare.
The inaugural event, held at RSETI Lohardaga, was graced by the presence of notable figures including Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, Director of the IIM Ranchi Faculty, Krishna Prasad Waghmare, the District Collector of Lohardaga, and Arun Singh, the District Planning Officer of Lohardaga.
The "MDP on Imparting Marketing Skills" presents a distinctive opportunity for Self Help Group (SHG) representatives to enrich their marketing competencies, ultimately contributing to the progress of their respective communities.
Conducted entirely in Hindi, this program ensures that participants can actively engage and comprehend the teachings provided by the proficient faculty members of IIM Ranchi.
Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, director of IIM Ranchi, expressed his enthusiasm for the program, stating, “At IIM Ranchi, we believe in global orientation and local responsiveness, and this MDP is one of the ways through which we would be supporting local communities”.
Expressing his delight, Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, Director of IIM Ranchi, highlighted that IIM Ranchi prioritizes a global outlook while remaining attentive to local needs and this MDP program is one of the avenues through which they've planned to extend support to their local communities.
He further added that the program is designed to equip SHG representatives with the essential marketing skills required to expand their businesses, ultimately making a positive impact on the local economy.
The "MDP on Imparting Marketing Skills" will encompass a diverse array of topics, ranging from market research, product positioning, branding, and pricing strategies, to digital marketing.
Utilizing interactive sessions, real-world case studies, and hands-on exercises, participants will acquire valuable insights and practical knowledge that can be readily applied to their entrepreneurial endeavors, he added.
