The Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi hosted the inauguration event for the class of 2023–25 which marked the starting of an exciting new chapter for the talented cohort.

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi proudly hosted the inauguration event for the class of 2023–25 and marked the starting of an exciting new chapter for the talented cohort. P M Prasad, Chairman and Managing Director of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), Ranchi, and Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, Director of IIM Ranchi, were honoured guests at the occasion.

An amazing group of academics, business leaders, and motivated students attended the event. The invocation that opened the service helped the audience feel upbeat and enthusiastic. IIM Ranchi Director Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava gave a sincere welcoming speech and wished the incoming class well.

He encouraged the incoming students to be joyful, adventurous, and rational both throughout their stay at IIM Ranchi and the remainder of their careers. The Director also emphasised the actions the Institute has done recently that support his advice. The Human Connect, Human Library, and Centre of Excellence for Happiness programmes are all significant strides in that direction.

The esteemed chief guest of the event, P M Prasad, gave a motivational keynote speech that undoubtedly left an impression on the audience. Prasad informed the students about the dynamic nature of the corporate sector and the part they may play in influencing the world of tomorrow through his wide expertise and illuminating tales.

Sandeep Gupta, Executive Director of JPMC; Sumit Joshi, Deputy Director of DE Shaw; Prof. Pradip Kumar Bala, Dean (Academic Affairs & Development); Profs. Vijaya Dixit, Ankur Jha, Sudhanshu Shekhar, and Amit Sachan, Chairpersons of the MBA-BA and MBA-HR, respectively; Prof. Prasenjit Chakrabarti, Chairperson of the Doctoral Programme.

Programme spoke to the audience and gave their opinions on the value of a comprehensive management education. They emphasised the value of holistic education, creative thinking, and moral behaviour, all of which are cornerstones of the academic programme at IIM Ranchi.

The IIM Ranchi looks forward to guiding and developing the newest batch as they begin their MBA Programmes journey and develop into moral, accountable, and competent leaders. To further prepare the students for the chances and challenges that lie ahead, the induction programme will also include a number of interesting seminars, mentorship programmes, alumni meetings, and industry interactions.

The three-day induction programme will consist of a variety of academic events, including Case Workshop and Management Marathon, that the students will participate in. They will also interact with Alumni and learn about the IIM Culture and Spirit, Institute Norms and Regulations, and other things.
