IIM Ranchi held its Annual 11th Convocation Ceremony

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi's Annual 11th Graduation ceremony for the class of 2020-22 was conducted at the Institute’s Swami Vivekanand Auditorium. This happened to be the first graduation ceremony that was fully hosted on a permanent site. 

IIM Ranchi, the ninth institution to join the esteemed group of Indian Institutes of Management, was founded on December 15, 2009, complying with the Societies Registration Act, of 1860, and with the complete backing of the Government of Jharkhand. 

The 2017 IIM Act was introduced, giving the Institute the designation of "Institute of National Importance." The honourable Governor of Jharkhand, Shri C P Radhakrishnan, joined the event as the chief guest and addressed the convocation message. 

The honoree was Shri Anand Kripalu, MD and Global CEO of Blackstone - EPL Ltd. The IIM Ranchi graduating class was present during the event, along with the chairman as well as members of the board of governors. 

The Academic Parade was preceded by the National Anthem and Recitation to begin the graduation programme. IIM Ranchi Director Prof Deepak Kumar Srivastava gave the Opening Speech and provided a succinct overview of the organisation.

In addition to the Chief Guest, Shri C P Radhakrishnan, Honourable Governor of Jharkhand, Guest of Honour Shri Anand Kripalu, MD and Global CEO of Blackstone - EPL Ltd., and Shri Praveen Shankar Pandya, Chairman, Board of Governors, IIM Ranchi, were all warmly welcomed by Prof. Srivastava.  

He revealed that the institution has entirely relocated to a new site with the latest and most up-to-date amenities backed by a digital framework. For any institution of higher learning, he claimed, the campus culture is of utmost importance. 

He applauded the graduates for a prosperous future and expressed his congratulations on completing one of the finest business schools. He acknowledged his appreciation for the guidance and counsel provided by the Chairman and Members of the Board of Governors, which enabled him to refocus IIM Ranchi on its academic success. 

Professor Srivastava also advised the students to make a small effort to better the lives of those who are less fortunate. Try to be happy to work more effectively and cultivate an experimental mindset that with each trial, will strengthen the capacity to take on the next challenge.
