The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi proudly launched its inaugural flagship Management Conclave and paid tribute to Jharkhand's rich cultural heritage through performances of tribal dances, songs, and folk dances indigenous to the state.

IIM Ranchi Inaugurated its First Flagship Management Conclave

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi, has added another feather to its cap with the launch of its inaugural flagship Management Conclave. This significant event marks a pivotal moment in the institute's journey, which will bring together experts and industry leaders to discuss shaping today’s business world and provide the students a chance to interact firsthand with industry juggernauts.

The program commences with the singing of the National anthem and is followed by the lighting of the lamps by the dignitaries - Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, Director, IIM Ranchi, Prof. Varun Elembilassery, Chairperson, Corporate Relations and Placement Committee and the Chief Guest, Shri Sanjay Kumar Verma, Director (Commercial), MECON Limited.

The guest addressed the audience with inspiring words and set the foundation for the inaugural management conclave. Following that, students paid tribute to Jharkhand's rich cultural heritage through performances of tribal dances, songs, and folk dances indigenous to the state.

The first panel discussion was conducted by Prof. Virajanand Varma, and featured Mr. Paramveer Singh Narang, India Head Talent Acquisition, Capital One; Mr. NarayanRao K, Senior Vice President & Head – HR, KPIL; and Mr. Vamsi Karavadi, Director HR Consulting, Deloitte who shared their views on the future of talent acquisition in India.

In the second phase of the conclave, several dignitaries spoke about different ideas, Mr Rohit Punnose, Sr Director, Data Science, enlightened the audience with the use of Artificial Intelligence for space optimisation in the Retail Industry. Mr. Yugal Joshi, Partner, Everest Group spoke about the role of Artificial intelligence in consulting and professional services. Mr. Ashok Jaiswar, VP & Head – Marketing, Finolex highlighted the Brand Revitalisation story of Finolex. Mr. Anish Shrivastava (HR) mentioned the Human Capital Strategy of Finolex. Students got the opportunity to clear their doubts through Q&A sessions by interacting with the speakers directly.

Mr. Paramveer Singh Narang, India's Head of Talent Acquisition, and Ms. Ashmita Bose, HR Business Partner, jointly presented a session on leveraging Artificial Intelligence to enhance workplace diversity and inclusion, as well as its role in talent acquisition, marking the successful conclusion of Day 1 of Management Conclave 2023.
