New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi has started a Merit cum Means Scholarship programme along with its strategic method which aims to have a good impact on people and society.
As per IIM Ranchi, 25 students will receive scholarships each year. The scholarships are open to students enrolled in the Institute's Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), MBA, MBA-Business Analytics, and MBA-Human Resources Management programmes. Each year, the Scholarships have a value of about INR 1 crore.
The distribution of the scholarships will give deserving but financially challenged students a chance to pursue their education at a prestigious management university at a low cost.
IIM Ranchi is a national-importance institution which is currently ranked 15th in the NIRF. It has 13 years of history and has risen to the top of the nation's educational hierarchy.
The Merit Cum Means Scholarships offered by IIM Ranchi have been designed with the goal of being both globally and locally relevant, in line with the Institute's Strategic Plan "IIMRanchi@2030".
The criteria for awarding the scholarship has a parental income cap which excludes students who have already received other scholarships in order to ensure that it reaches a wide group of deserving but in need kids.
Additionally, the criteria for scholarship awards gives weight to students with disabilities (divyangs) or who fall under the SC and ST categories of scheduled castes. According to expectations, the comprehensive and precise criteria that have been established for the scholarship awards will allow them to give it to deserving students. These are the students from a variety of backgrounds, who are enrolled in the Institute's undergraduate and graduate programmes.
The Merit Cum Means Scholarship is open to all the qualified applicants who will be accepted for the upcoming academic year (2023–24) or who are already enrolled in one of the Institute's covered programmes.
