IIM Ranchi Launches 'Nature Connect' Initiative on Independence Day; Check Details Here

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi, has unveiled the "Nature Connect" initiative, a remarkable endeavor aimed at strengthening the relationship with the environment. 

IIM Ranchi's initiative aims to enhance well-being, inspire creativity, instill responsible consumption, and nurture resilience by embracing nature's inherent qualities. Numerous studies highlight the positive impact of spending time in natural settings on mental health. The "Nature Connect" project is tailored to alleviate stress, decrease anxiety, and address depression, all while promoting overall holistic wellness. 

By offering a sanctuary for individuals to reconnect with the natural world, the initiative seeks to illuminate the therapeutic potential of nature. The program encompasses a range of activities, spanning from campus strolls to outdoor nature trails, designed to encourage participants to incorporate moments of nature appreciation into their daily lives. 

Acknowledging the interconnectedness of humans and the environment, the initiative is crafted to nurture individual well-being and empower local communities. 

As a part of this effort, the institute is introducing the "Rasabeda Trail," an innovative ecotourism endeavor that fosters a mutually beneficial connection between students and villagers. This trail aims to immerse students in nature's experiences while enabling villagers to develop sustainable sources of income.

Through engaging educational stations, workshops, and expert-led guided encounters, the Rasabeda Trail offers a dynamic setting for individuals to enrich their comprehension of the ecosystem, cultivating a profound tie to the environment. 

By merging education, exploration, and preservation, this trail aspires to become a life-altering expedition, fostering both personal development and a deep reverence for the natural world.

Initially, different groups of IIM Ranchi students would be taken to this trail on a monthly basis. Over time, this initiative will gradually extend to encompass the entire community, allowing them to immerse themselves in the transformative journey of "Nature Connect".
