Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi is offering Scholarships to Meritorious Students with Financial Difficulties through a merit-cum-scholarship programme.

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi has launched a merit-cum-scholarship programme to help talented students from financially weak backgrounds to study in the institute. According to the official release by IIM Ranchi, a total of 25 students would be chosen for the scholarship from MBA, MBA-Business Analytics MBA-Human Resources Management programmes.
The total value of the scholarships given will be 1 cr every year. The main aim of this scholarship program is to help people to continue their management programs and to pursue careers in the management field by completing their studies. The Merit cum Means Scholarships provided by IIM Ranchi has kept the vision of the Institute’s Strategic Plan “IIMRanchi@2030” in mind; to be globally present and locally relevant.
In order to ensure that the scholarships reach out to a diverse group of needy but meritorious students, the criteria for award of the scholarship has a parental income cap and excludes students who have availed other scholarships.
Additionally, the scholarship award criteria provide weightage to students who are differently abled (divyangs) or belong to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories. It is projected that the detailed and inclusive criteria which have been framed for the award of the scholarships will enable it to cover meritorious students from a wide range of backgrounds at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels of study at the Institute.
All eligible students who will be admitted in the upcoming Academic Year (2023-24) or are currently studying in the covered programmes in the Institute will be able to apply for the Merit Cum Means Scholarship.
