The Indian Institute of Management Shillong (IIMS) is currently organizing a five-day funded Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on general management and research methodology.

New Delhi: The Umsawli campus of the Indian Institute of Management Shillong (IIMS) is currently hosting a five-day funded faculty development programme (FDP) on general management and research methodology. The Faculty Development Programme (FDP) will be arranged for faculty members of higher education institutions in the North Eastern Region (NER) by the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Centre for Policy and Research of IIM Shillong.
The FDP event was scheduled to take place from May 8 to May 12. According to the IIMS statement, the Faculty Development Programme (FDP) will attempt to train the trainers by giving them the abilities needed to teach and spread knowledge that would aid in the development of the North East area and the nation.
IIM Shillong director DP Goyal remarked during the ceremony that faculty members have two responsibilities: to be effective teachers and to be good researchers. The duty of a teacher (is) to meet the educational needs of every student, even those who are slow learners, and the significance of self-assessment in order to establish a fair and open evaluation system for pupils.
The official IIM Shillong announcement said that the FDP participants will learn how to create a teaching pedagogy and a curriculum. Altogether 30 faculties from innumerable institutions like IIMC, Aizawl, Tripura Institute of Paramedical Science, Manipur University of Culture, Cotton University, Guwahati, Centre for Community Medicine, AIIMS Delhi, NEHU, Assam University will participate in the IIM Shillong's faculty development programme.
